Toys for TOTS and Raffle Giveaway-EVERYONE WELCOME
Dec 5th is not far away. This year we're giving toys to kids and giving an FJ62 Land Cruiser to a bigger kid.
If you or your club would like to help support the the Tots event please let us know. We're looking to gather as much support as possible and help the kids in a very tough year. All you need to do is let us know and bring toys for the kids.
Inquiries can be sent to info@gacruisers.com
total headcount as of now is roughly 50+ rigs and a large compliment of cruiser heads.
Dec 5, 2009 Schedule:
9:00-9:30 -- Gather in the parking lot at 211 Perimeter Ctr Pkwy, Atlanta, GA
9:30 Prompt: Depart for the Varsity and arrive +/- 10:00AM
10:00-11:00--Make toys & cash donation to the Marines, Pics and socializing
11:00AM--Pull the winning ticket for our Rescue Tellico raffle:
11:00-12:00 -- Eat lunch at the Varsity
12:00--whenever go to Dawsonville for a little wheeling.
If you live on the south side of ATL just meet us at The Varsity downtown ATL at 10AM

My classes are heading up Toys for Tots at my school. We are hoping to get a good amount of participation from the students and staff. I will keep the club updated on how everything is going.

I also have my high school doing Toys for Tots this year. The marines are coming on Dec 14th (hoping that I will still be there and not in labor 
Hopefully we will have a good turn out with class participation and some local bus.

good luck on this!!! great p.r. for the 4xworld. we've done one here in colorado for about 7 years and for the last five we've been in the top three. last year, we were the largest in the rocky mountian region.
now you have something to stive for

thanks, you guys definitely set the bar high. Also, thanks for the support!!!!! Best of luck and having done 1 I know how much work doing 7 must be. Keep it up!

The Ga Bounty Runners are on officially (and confirmed) on board. they expect 15-20 rigs and 40-50 people with room to grow.
SOLAROS is also on board, I'll confirm it in the next week or two. Then of course the UC guys, head count yet to be determined but hopefully we can get one.
You guys better get busy buying toys

I'm in and will most likely be there with the whole screaming family.
I don't know if UC really has a grasp on Toys for Tots. Could you do a writeup on what is expected of us?

No problem.
The purpose obviously is to donate toys to kids in need. I believe Toys for Tots says they want/need unwrapped toys for boys and girls from ages 12 and under. Their site doesn't really say much about what types of toys to donate so I'll just let our 2008 pictures tell the story.
We're not asking folks to spend a lot of money, last year I think I spent about $25-30. A lot of folks go to places like the Dollar store and Big Lots where toys are plentiful and affordable.

This information might help....
Q : What kinds of toys are not allowed?
A : Toys with military theme. Toys related to weapons/law enforcement type toys. Toys with candy. Used toys. No chemicals (i.e. experimental labs, acid, crystal projects, etc.). The Toys For tots program do not allow these toys. The Toys For Tots of the Marine Corps reserve will not distribute toys fitting this description that are donated to the program to children. Instead, these toys will be donated to another charity organization.
