Tire's
Ted and Crew do you think we're going to be putting a lift or add-a-leafs on this rig?

Our goal is a whole new suspension (springs, shocks, ubolts, bushings, etc.), but a VERY mild lift if any. 1-2 inches or so.

Thanks Heather. Guys as you can see this truck needs a lot of TLC. The labor is all on us and of course contributed to the cause but we need parts in a bad way. Obviously the sexy items make the truck look cool but we need the mechanical parts every bit as badly, please consider helping us out.
Thanks,

Awesome! Will they fit on the 62? Sorry...my cruiser brain is limited to 55's and FJCruisers.

I arrived early to give the truck a bath, when I got there ACC had already taken care of it. Got to hand it to them too, the truck looked great!

And this is where we're going with the truck, ironically ACC has one just like it mounted on 33's. Our truck is in the background.

Drivers Rear Door
Is it possible to take the outer skin off an existing rear door and re-use it on another? If so, I have a drivers rear door off a 60 that I parted out several years ago. The truck had rolled so the upper windo track is bent, but the lower portion was good.
I will try to get up into the loft of the shop where I have the doors stored to lay my hands on it and double check its condition.
By the way, the truck certainly looked like an excellent choice for the raffle. Congratulations on bringing this together.

Thanks, We have ANH Collision Specialists out of Dawsonville that is helping us with the body work. I don't know anything about how to unbend body panels so I'm gonna leave that to our experts. However, if they come back and say we need it then absolutely please do have it handy. I do know the window track on the drivers side needs some attention so if anyone out there has info we're all ears.

hold on to those Larry, we may need them and thanks for the offers. The windows appear to be in good shape but until we have the truck back in our hands we cant start tearing into it. Once the transmission is done in the next couple of weeks we will begin tearing into the "other" issues such as the windows and such so don't go very far.

I climbed up into the loft and pulled the door down. I knew one of the door appeared unbent when I dismantled the truck and is it. Clearly a dry fit to ensure that the window frame has not been tweaked is in order, but all in good time.
Here is what it looks like

Our donations to the truck....
Along with buying multiple tickets, AuburnFJSexy and TrailDiva, will be donating a High Jack Lift* and a jar of peanut butter* for the truck.
I know it's a miswording, but I like it that way. and you never know when you might get caught in the woods and get hungry

Updated the list of parts needed. I have requests out for a suspension and other larger parts and I'll post up when I find out more. For now though, we need to focus on the little things like Ted mentioned. Lot's of little body parts and rubber seals and what not.
