Are you still planning to go to the Gultches on the 17th? I won't be able to make Morris Mountain on the 24th because I will be in Canada for the weekend.

Are you going to be chasing ducks? I understand that they are not as bullet proof as grouse.

Yes of course, I was planning on testing out my two person seat belt harness that weekend. Picture this, the spotter staddles the driver. You can help!

Could be snowin' then. We went last Jan and there was snow but nothing stuck. Dave, there is a nearby state park called Cheaha that has cabins. Gorgeous place. As long as there is not ice on the roads, they will be open. Other than that you are stuck with the cheap motels off of I-20, but not many to choose from.

Its not looking like it right now HENDOG. Army aint paying me for being married yet so all my bills are coming out of my single person check. Was hoping to get it on the first but it didnt happen. We will see what happens between now and then though.
EDIT: MLK weekend is the weekend before so there is no way I could make this one. Wont have enough time off. Sucks the weekend before i should have a 3-4 day weekend. Oh well maybe next time.

Its a one day trip just over the Alabama state line. Your welcome to spend Friday night at the Stone Castle in Marietta, and get an early start Sat morning I'll even feed you all. Aren't you dismissed Friday afternoon till Monday Morn??? Hell I'll even throw in $20 towards gas just because I think it would be fun haveing you around and I remeber what its like to be a poor soldier (83-87 E-4 pay). And bring your Brother-inlaw!!!

Well let me see what I can do. I would love to come. Let me see how things go between now and then.... another thing you should know is 3 weeks is a long time to try and schedule anything in the Army. They like to tell me about a day after when I have time off. Ill see what I can work out after I go back to work.

OK well I just talked to Zach (BIL) he is trying to fix his junk before then and if he somehow pulls that off I will take you up on the offer and suck up the driving AS LONG as I can get off work. I want to go and he was whining he didnt get to go to Tellico with us so hopefully he gets it together. I will keep everyone informed.

So let me get this straight....We are all meeting at Henry's house Friday for a preroadtrip party ? My current rank is B4 I B BUS TED 2. If it wasn't for the pay I get as Secretary, I would be so poor I couldn't even afford to pay attention.

Let me clarify---Only Iraqi war Vets and their immediate family members. But a party does sound good. We could pull it off if you want.

In other words, only the newly adopted son of the Hendog is invited. Henry, does the wife know yet?

Just to check with everyone. Has anyone called to reserve a spot there? Morris Mtn is reservation only and Randy has turned people away that have shown up with out reservations. (Hilery, the wife )

HENDOG - Wanna move the decimal on that $20 a few places to the right to help fund my gas hog? I'm no Iraqi vet, but I did keep 1.3 metric tons of drugs off of US soil along with saving/detaining 50 Equadorian refugees from the middle of the Pacific Ocean! (I'm also currently running on E4 pay by the way)
But seriously, doubt I'll make it. It's over 400 miles for me and at 7mpg, and 7-9 hours from Jax... not a likely trip for me. But I've always wanted to go there.

Well that still did not answer my question Does just the group need reservations or is it a truck by truck deal?

We told them we're coming. The whole group. Don't sweat the reservation details. If you can make it great if not maybe next time. Did you look at their website???
