Al, that's pretty cool man. Wish I lived closer to check out some of the action. Did you ever hear back from Mark about that door?

You should do this to your rolled 80 and throw the 40 series body on it...get some bigger coils and wheel the snot out of it.

Al,

Are there any good sun visors in that old 80 carcass? Need two tan ones.

I do... Sure is nice...
Al, what are you doing with the body? Could be one small step toward 'revitalizing' C2.

Jim, I know your pain. Mine used to have nothing on it, no jelly bean and no TOYOTA. The PO owned a Toyota dealership and tried to make this look like a lexus for his glamorous son. They somehow either removed the word toyota or got a generic grill but it was faceless. If you want a blank grill I may trade for your jelly bean...

Al - too kool. Apologies about the raffle tickets and such. I pulled the envelope out of a toolbox after Jim told me what happended and sure as kaka they're in there.

Projects looks killer - you going to tub out the wheel wells?

Good to see you've got motivation in this heat - no surf down here in 2 months and hot as heck during the day. Best of luck.

I hope to exo the whole truck when it gets done....But that will be next the last thing I do on it, because that will be not so cheap, but its nice to think of the future...

We have had some super fun waves this past week...Chest high last weekend. You should come visit and hit up some tasty surf.

Ok, Chuck I am at work now so I can't snap a pic, but the rear Q'er has a dent on it from the roll and the front pass side door got smashed kinda good on the roll becuase it landed on a jackstand. Aside from a few little dings on the rockers its a good shell. No rust, It would make a sweet trail rig. Nothin like a nice 80 to beat the crap out of on the trail, Now I could have another Long Wheel Base rig hitting the rocks with me besides all those wussy 40 folks

Anyway drop me a line whenever...Becuase I need the thing gone. Its yours for free brotha....and if ya dont want scrap it for like 250 bucks or somthing....

talk to ya soon brotha...

-Al

-- There was an 80 at GSMTR 2 years back that the kids were wheeling the snot out of. Think they modified the suspension to the point it had so much flex they had to hack huuuuuge nasty holes in the rear almost up to the window to allow the tires to flex. You might remember it? Guessing your setup will be a bit cleaner .

We have had some super fun waves this past week...Chest high last weekend. You should come visit and hit up some tasty surf.
-- I'll be coming up someday soon - had a really rough year and am trying to get my shite together, especially with finishing the renovations on the house .

With no surf I'm getting grief from friends to do another Panama trip in 2 months - would rather do a few weekends in St. Auggie and visit ya'all and Duane and family. I'll keep you posted.

Oh man, if I weren't knee deep in gutting the bathroom, I'd seriously consider picking that thing up, cutting the rear off and putting it on my 40. That would be a sick looking rig

Somebody needs to do something with that body - would be a crime to hack it. Course, I did just haul a bunch of stuff to the landfill...

Cool Project! You'll have the ultimate cruiser when your done!
I'm sure there'll be lots of challenges ahead, but I know you can do it.
Too bad I don't live closer where I could help.
Can't wait to see the progress!

I will post up some shots and progress tomorrow night I hope. You should swing up and see it sometime steve....I hope to have the frame out from under the 62 tomorrow. We got the 80 cut up and is now gone. we sold it for scrap then that night we spent it all on dinner.

Also,
We are making a run to Bravo Pit in I think 2 weeks after I get a new set of rims (I bent 3 in tellico) PM if you want to come along. We are putting 35s on hales 80 and bringing that and Jer is bring his stock 60 and I of course will be sporting Velveeta wag.
