Tellico end of the summer/fall

Me and a few other cruiserheads are taking a stab at tellico late summer early fall... I will post dates when we figure it all out but we are all stoked to go. Anyone is welcome, we will be camping on the trails...

Hey Jim - As you probably already know, Upstate Cruisers is going to be there in August. I think it was the weekend of the 12th / 13th tentatively. I think a good amount of people are going - probably have 10-12 trucks there that weekend.

Maybe you Florida guys could look at that weekend for an even bigger group turnout.

Andy

That would be a good weekend, Andy. Assuming there are no Hurricanes out there.........

That kinda starts our peak season.

oh no, not my pristine daily driver! Looks like I need another cruiser since the red one is too babied to hag on. Anyone have a good trail truck for cheap?

So... uh Chuck, Is that your other 80??

How about taking a sawzall and cutting off everything above the window line.
Make it an open air mobile. Paint it bright tropical colors. Make a roof frame with palm frongs and put on a thatch roof adorned with frilly things hanging off the roof line. Kind of like on Fantasy Island

Steve, I would be all over that but the beast has a bent connecting rod or bad wrist pin ...per my amateur assessment. My vision is similar to yours but I was thinking more Mad Max style and less Gilligan's Isle It'll run but has a rattling clink and clack sound. I'd like a better facility to tackle either option; new engine, or repair damaged engine. This is what it looked like after removing plugs and cranking it over.
Al, uh, ....I'm speachless...

Right on! I would but if the engine can be fixed before blowing out a cylinder wall it might be worth a litt something to me. Anyone know how to fix this under a tarp in the dirt?

This would still be a stretch for me, especially since the guys down here are talking about another surf trip in a few months, but keep posting the dates and ideas. You never know when my mind might snap again and I'd just have to go

Al - You in town next weekend? Just got an invite to go up to Crescent Beach - but checked the surf report and with all the dry air sitting over the Bermuda's it's looking downright miserable...
