Lake Placid Offroad

Just wondering if any cruiserheads knew of "the" Lake Placid offroad spot. May be outta the way for northerners, but only 1 hour 20 min. away from me.
I've seen some galleries of trips to "lake Placid" on a few offroad sites, but after searching google and mapquest, can't quite tell where to go.

Had a personal recolection from a 4wheeler, but his directions were 27 to somewhere in lake placid...DUNNO! I don't figure private land, maybe...how bout this priveleged location? PM it to me if need be...in case you don't want it on the site board.
Much Thanks

Think my post got crossed with another ?

"A neighborhood that was never finished"...lots of streets (old , paved) not many houses.

I think between Lk and Lk . . .

north of Lake Placid as a town....south of Sebring....

"Both hands and a road map . . ."

"Hysteer and SOA Sitting in Garage... "

Yo, sput,,,,how come yer Silly Ole Ass is sitting in the garage ?

hey pete

I got the gist...looked it up on mapquest, found what i believe to be the exact locale. Right between Lk June and the other, you can see on the map where the paved roads run out right in this area.
is it still legal to go there? I don't even know if that's still polk or not...How much opposition is likely if i made a trip down there? only 1hr20min from my house. the pics i've seen look appealing, so i'd like to check it out.
maybe fencing up now? I'm not scared of no trepassing signs, or angry locals. but just wondering what to expect. never hurts to try.
thanks pete...anyone else who might provide light on my path of dark offroading...

Damn Pete - that's strong language for you Actually there is a pretty well known reason - but that's another story. Last of my parts came in last week - so I'll be up and running soon enough - get ready to play follow the leader .

How's the shop roof coming along, Bill? I'll be around all weekend playing Tonka Trucks in my front yard if you need anything.

About another 50 sf of shingles and I'm good - doors are locked and I've started moving more tools out back. Finish the roof tomorrow while they're putting the granite in the kitchen, and a bit more on the security situation and I'm going full time on the Cruiser (sans possible swell showing for Sat. and Mon.)

Started cleaning parts on the 40 a few nights back - super stoked to be able to get back to work on this - best time of year to be Cruising around and I'm on jack stands.

If you can't make it by my place sometime, I'll plan on stopping in to drop off the doors for the SC trip. Thanks again.
