Anthoney called me about 35 miles into the trek home and said his cruiser had died....So I turned around and headed back to 316 to find him along side the road....

From what it seemed he had not check his oil level in a long time..the 2f ran low on oil and burnt up the rest and threw a rod through the bottom of his oil pan... sucks realll bad. But we all made sandwhiches and wait for the tow truck to come...

Thanks everyone agian for coming...Haley, me, and Jer were saying how cool the people where that went, and how good it made the trip...

thanks agian agian
-Al

Bummer - I've had to do a rebuild before - not cheep.

I can donate some parts towards a rebuild next weekend.

I'm going to be doing the final teardown on my 77 parts truck next weekend at my Pop's place in Ft. Pierce. Cherry picking a 2F is alot easier with a good hoist and the hyraulic bucket in the tractor. Needless to say - I need to give the shortblock to someone - let me know if Anthony is interested. Ran rough before I started pulling parts - block, connecting rods and crank would probably be good for a rebuild. It's not a cheap option - but this would be a big help if he goes that route. Good luck.

I'll donate the 2F that came out of my cruiser. It's complete, good running condition and is ready to go. Anyone know his email??
Steve

Thanks Al

Hey guys just wanna say thanks for all of the help offers. I really appreciate it, you guys are great. Al you are the bomb. Thanks for coming to the rescue. I got a remaned 2f coming in about 2-3 weeks, depending on when this guy from conecticut gets it in the snail mail! I miss the cruizer, it is sitting dead in the water at my dads office in bradenton. Oh well. Im looking forward to the swap with m bro and all, maybe I will learn something!
Alpha was great, for all you guys that didn't come, we found the garden of stuff. It is insane, AL great attempt, stooped jeeper was winch happy! You guys down south will have a blast!
I will keep you all posted on the cruiser.

Anthony

I might have a few, but I haven'tdeveloped the film yet. I will sometime in the next week and make a few prints. I think I got some of all in the rock garden, at least the begining.

Kool - anything with the windshield down is sweet.

Al - understand - hope you get an article in - I know it'll be killer. I burned the pics of the prior run for both Mike and Jim - if they havn't posted on the Land Crusher site yet - you might want to e-mail em for the one I got of Mike wheelstanding up and over knucklebuster - it is sweet - 5.0 mpix to boot. Also had a few good ones of the assembly area with everyone out for drivers meeting. Good luck.

Did you make it back into the next pit beyond the mudhole??? I was planning to hike it or try and squeeze in on my next run up that way....

Fun trip. Glad nobody got hurt. 2nd time I've seen a rolled truck there 'cept it's always after the fact. Least there were some cool people there who didn't mind pulling some line or we would have been there a lot longer. At least we know your winch works Chuck!
Glad you're getting that motor back in Anthony, can't wait to hear what the final tally of the damage is. So far I'm guessing at least a thrown rod.

lol, last time out there the windshield flopped forward on its own during a steep descent cause there are no pins holding it up. Never found anything steep enough before to activate the "auto windshield down" feature.

Anthony's last stand... in memory of an honorable 2F

I think its a rule that in addition to location being secret the photos are top secret.

talk to your buddy Al. He has all the pics tied up trying to get into the next Playgirl. Keep looking for the issue with Velveeta on the cover with the headline Lowtideride gets cheesy.
