I'll be getting there later about 9PM.
By the time i arrive, there will be slim pickings on camp spots, and I'll end up having to set up my tent in the lowest part of the pit.
That is if we end up camping at the pit.

Steve, dont' go for the lowest part of the pit! Someone wise (I think Trace) said it was like a hundred and fifty five miles deep. You might get snagged by a lure from the fisherman or bit by a dragon or something.

Too funny. You've been hanging around us Palm Beach folk too much - our slow decision making skills are rubbing off
Parents are looking to rent a house in the St. Aug. area - most likely Crescent Beach - over the Thanksgiving holiday. I'll let you know if it pans out and Laura and I'll make plans to stop in and check progress on your 80 project.
Damn - I'm down to 2 spares. Going to ask for longfields for Christmas

Started to ask for that Friday off and it turns out might be a freebie holiday
I'm sure Jim and I will be leaving early - and possibly a few other PB and Deerfield folk. Time to make a definite decision on meeting place.
Hell - Maybe I'll just find a cheapo moter carriage hotel close by...

Damn Bill, Capital Idea! We've been camping down here in WPB for 8 days now.
Don't even see any power company trucks in this neighborhood.

Got partial power last night - assumed they would connect the wire that was loose at pole, and disconnect live wires ripped off neighbors house before turning loose power behind house - wrong. Had to call in. Some power is better than no power - generator lies dormant
MOTELS: About 15 minutes away in Ocala. Old Road hotels - someone want to call to see about rates and parking? There's a krapload of these down near Silver Springs... I hate low end chain hotels - and when on a budget prefer a good local place - never know about neighborhood thought?

I'm still up for camping - this was just a thought.

Attention all Who might stay in a Hotel!
Hey, for those of you considering staying in a hotel rather than camping, i can save ya some $$$. How you say??? Well, just happens that I am a licensed travel agent. So anyone of these hotels, you can book through my website and get a cheaper rate rather than showing up in person. What usually happens also is that you can get a cheaper rate plus getting an upgraded room. This may sound "overextraneous" to some of you, but just a thought if any are interested. My website is www.ytbnet.com/chadtravel if anyone wants to at least check it out. Thanks too all, look forward to wheeling. Oh, and keep this in mind too for any future out of state trips to far away wheeling events.
Chad
PS Al, i'll give you a ring, thanks.

Hotel...We Need Information
Kool - any travel agent in a SOA 60 has to be a good
Can you get the rates for motels I looked up - or any other similar type place in Ocala for that matter. I am communication challenged and not gonna ask GF to call...
Again - this was just a convenience idea - someone says it's a go for camping at pit or Oklawaha and I'm there - fairly certain same goes for Jim.

Ok we need a time where we can all meet up friday night to hit the trails. I was thinking we all meet up at 5pm at the pilot station. And for those late comers thant can just call my cell which i hope gets serivce out there and I will run out to the trail head and pick them up.
As for the night run, We are going in a different entrance and attackign Alpha from the backside. Its an offcamber and tight trail, one of the first trails that dented Velveeta Wag out there. Its a blast, we will run that into the vally to hit knuckle buster agian and up the wash out trail til we hit break loose(we dint run it last time) and we wheel that...
Sound good to everyone...

Another note...
Since it is such an awesome spot and with talking with a good buddy we thought it best not to ruin it, So the both of us are just staying at Olkahahwaannaa. It would be cool to camp at Alpha but I really dont want that place shut down. Since is about the only fun spot in florida to wheel ( if you dont like mud)...
You guys are welcome to do whatever you want (stay where ever ya want But I will keep the fire going for who ever wants to join after the night run...
ride on cruiserheads and I'll see ya soon....safe travels.

Not going to make this one guys. Sandy and I are going down to Avon Park this weekend to see my Dad and his antique engines at the Florida Flywheelers park.
I'll be going to the Turkey Trot though...

Al,
I'm still sitting on fence with work on house and upcoming trips and all. If I go I will see you at Oklawaha Friday - post here if you change back to pit - I'd be ok with either. Plus we're up for a north swell this weekend.
My parents rented rooms in downtown St. Aug. for Thanksgiving - so Laura and I will definitely be up. Shoot me an e-mail with directions and we'll make plans to stop in and see the 80 project - hopefully befor you leave for Turkey Trot. Will probably be down towards my friends Duane and Lauren's place on Sat. (i.e. the white castle).
As an aside - have you ever done any South Seas trips. Planning for late next year, and looking for options. Friends want to fork out $$$ for Tavarua, but I'm more interested in Bali and similar areas - cheaper. We'll be doing another cheap CR trip this year as per usual.
Bill.

Bill,
Sorry my man, the reason I had a ride before the t-trot thing was for the people to wheel that could not make it to T-trot....like me I am flying up north to see family then and I wont be here. I am sorry. But Jer will be if you want to hook up with him and check out the project 40. But if you make it up my way before I leave will have too hook up and hit up some swell.
As for the surfing trip....putting money away for Costa as we speak, let me know when you guys are going and we might be able to hit up some swell together...
