Hi John, sorry there are no old guys in the FLCA, just a bunch of us "seasoned" ones.

Can't help on gettng the rig you are looking for, but there are two '85 4Runners for sale around here. Just get to work and build it yourself (in your spare time)...

Jerry D.

Sorry, Jerry D., I didn't mean it that way Would love to SAS a Toyota IFS truck but time don't permit me at this time. I noticed a few capable rigs out there for me, though!

Capt. Jim, good to see you. Always was fun getting stuck knowing you would pull me out! Just sold my 07 Tacoma 4x4. I was planning to SAS it but didn't have the heart to cut it up!

Thanks again, gents!

Hey there John! Jim mentioned you had posted - good to see you back. So whatever happened to the Cobra you were going to build?

Also - be sure to check the North Florida Cruiser Heads site for today's wheeling pics. Not a whole lot as both Al and Steve broke axles - so we spent most the day doing repairs - or watching reapairs - lots of helping hands and not enough broke.

Bill.

BillC: Great to hear from you and hope all is well! Thanks for the web reference. I will check it out. Glad to know you guys are having fun!

Regarding the Cobra, it was a project from early on. Got as closed as ordering the ERA kit, build up a 289 small block (that was in a Mustang in the movie My Girl), found a complete set of Webers 48-IDAs and rebuilded them. But after being on the ERA waiting list for 2 years, I lost interest, canceled the whole project and sold off the engine. Still hanging them Webers, though, along with the manifolds for both Ford and Chevy small and big blocks! Big plans for a GT40 or Daytona Coupe in case I win the lottery!

Would love to have Toy truck with lotsa mud on it!

I think I found my baby, a no-rust California truck. No mud on her but she's got potentials! Now got to come up with the cash, though! Thanks, gents, and see you in Ocala in the very near future! Bring a strap or two!

BillC: Awesome pictures at North Florida Cruiserheads and that tough rig of yours now proudly wearing more battle scars than the last time I saw it!

That's a beautiful mini! I had an 81 shortbed that I modded with 36.5's and 5" of lift, years and years ago. Too bad I sold it cheep but the bed was rusted by then.

Lets see, first you'll need to bob the end, install high clearance front fenders, cage and exotube it, lockers?, winch, fuel injection, Marlin Crawler box, chromo axles, power steering, etc. yup - sounds like a nice truck already .

It would be nice to be a Marlin Crawler truck! But it would be a sin to bob this bed. I would just have to take the bed off every time I go wheeling!
