Omar

hey Omar, how's that lift coming along? I ran into another cruiserhead that wanted to lift his 80.. probably 2.5 ome. I suggested he post up on FLCA and thought you guys might double team it. His rig had mods to egr and custom intake hose all aluminum. nice.

What's up Chuck D? No lift on the 80 yet, Money is tied up getting some major repiars done on my wife car. The ABS system went out and it's gonna cost me $2600.00 in parts alone. There goes my lift and ARB bumper money... I'd love to see that EGR and intake job, i currently have CEL and a P0402 EGR code i'm fighting.

Hey Omar. I've been busy working on a million things and as of most lately a valve way out of whack on the 80. Looks like the head may have to come off. 250k miles. bummer.

My 80 has been down for about three weeks now. The head just got back from the machine shop. It had a real bad chain rattle on start up, another thing that sounded like valve chatter(but everyone on mud said it was pre-ignition pinging) and a oil consumptition problem i was extremely unhappy with. The oil consumption issues was so bad that it ruined the CAT's. I got a compression test done on the block, it turned out really well so i decided to do the head gasket job althought it was not leaking coolant. Along with the head job, It's getting the hoses water pump thermostat, timing chain, plugs, wire, distributor stuff, all new seals, power steering pump and a new fan clutch.

I called Cruiser-Dan and got all the stuff ordered from him. I saved a great deal of money on my order so i recommend giving him a call when you need big orders.

When the machine shop returmed the head it looked brand new. I was very please with them.

Are you doing the work yourself?
