New to forum

Just stopping in and saying hi. My truck is a black 78' fj 40 with small block chevy turbo 350 transmission the rest of the truck is stock for now. Looking to do a spring over axle soon but a little hesitant to cut and turn the axle by myself. If any one ever needs some help on their rig and lives close feel free to shoot me a pm or wants some company on a trail ride. Hope to see ya'll around and happy trailing, Brett Huff

Welcome. You're close to several more active members, including Eric Dobson from High Springs. Cut and turn isn't all that hard - but it's easier to do like I did - just order a housing done up to the degree you specify and then swap everything out. This kept my down time to a minimum and also allowed me more time to get it powder coated. Best of luck - 78's are nice.

Welcome from Eric's other half. He also has a '78 FJ40. As Bill said, we live in High Springs.

Now that the weather is getting cooler, I will probably find him out working on the trucks. I am sure he would enjoy turning a few wrenches with another mudder.

Yes - she speaks the truth! I have a small pile of parts for the FJ40 and I'm just waiting for things to cool off a bit.

I don't know much about cutting and turning, but I may be useful for turning wrenches.

I'll be camping with the FLCA this weekend.

It'll have to be some other time.

I think this corner of the "clubhouse" got hijacked a long time ago. Has anyone heard anything from the guys in the panhandle that were trying to form a club up there? I think this particular forum was created with them in mind...
