Anyone Wheeling on Sunday 1/28?
Hello FL Cruiserheads!
I'll be arriving in Orlando Saturday afternoon in advance of a big meeting starting Monday. Some of my co-workers and I had a fishing trip planned for Sunday, but it fell through. Cost of changing my flight is outrageous, so I'm hoping to catch a ride on Sunday if anyone is wheeling anywhere within an hour or so of Orlando on Sunday. I could drive out on Saturday, find a hotel and be ready Sunday AM. Just need to be back in Orlando by mid day Monday. I'm willing to help pay for gas and beer.
Thanks and hope to see how it's done in FL!

Hello Lash,
Glad to hear you want to see how we wheel down in the flatlands.
Right now I'm sort of waiting to see what the weather is doing for Sunday, some say 70% chance of rain. Not that I would melt... If you can check you mail on Friday evening, I'll make a commitment for Sunday if the rain even falls to a 50 - 50 chance.
As for wheeling, there's the Ocala Forest, north of Orlando, truly not much but hard roads and some nice senery. I live up in the Crystal River - Inverness area, about a 45 minute drive north/west from Orlando Airport. I would like to go to our local forest here in Citrus County, it also is mostly flat, but there are a couple of trails with some light mud and one with a nice ditch.
I'll post back on Friday and let you know. If you get another solid offer, you might take it...
Say hello to Brian (I met him a couple years ago at GSMTR when he got engaged)

Lash,
Looks like Sunday should be a good day to get dirt on the tires.
Let me know if you can still make it...

awesome notion man, cool you're ready to get out! jerry's plan is probably superior to this, but thought i'd throw it in if you had nothing else to do.
the lakeland mudhole (yes, i know) is having a big all day muddin event. if some people wanna show some american trucks up with their cruisers, go for it. I've taken my 62 out there b4...it's some crazy mud and a crazy time, but they got a little side trail with build hills and ditches. Not a whole day's worth of fun, but if you aint got nothing else...
it's off SR 33 next to the international speedway there outside of Lakeland and Polk City.
good luck finding something

Jerry,
It looks like the fishing trip is back on. These on again - off again deals just kill me!! I guess I'm a planner and I usually stick to the plan.
Thanks so much for your willingness to allow me to tag along. Have a great day out there.
