FJ80 Frame
I have an FJ80 frame in my yard. As far as I can tell it is stratight. The truck was in an accident and the axle seems to have hit something and took most of the impact. The only problem I can see is that the pass side radius arm mount is bent and partially torn from the impact that the axle took.
Someone can have it for a 12 pack of Natty if they come get it out of my yard. Located in Gainesville.

Any idea how much this weighs? Would you allow carving some peices off of it or do you want it all gone in one shot.

It probably weighs 2-300lbs or so. You can cut whatever you want off of it, as long as the whole thing leaves with you. Or if you need something off of it but don't want the whole frame I can name a price.

I gather that the front axle housing is probably toast then?

Yeah the short side was bent back ohhh.... 6 inches. I had to cut the hosuing to bits to get all of the parts off of it. The axle bent that much, the radius arm folded, the mount get all mangled, and the sector shaft of the steering box sheared in two.
Somehow the High pinion Elocker was OK though. We got the whole rolling (well not exactly rolling) chassis for $750 from some junk yard in Live Oak that didn't know how much it was worth. We made about $1200 off of it
Tell you what though. These things are heavy bitches. Do you guys know how much the rear axle weighs? 2 of us loaded/drug it into the back of a cherokee and we figured it had to be at least 450.

Yikes!!
There was apparently a front-end collision in the history of my FJ80 as well - there are a few indicators, among them the front axle seems to be just slightly bent back on the short side. I could not remove the inner axle and birf when I did a knuckle job a while back - they were binding. Sighting across the axle it seemed to have a slight bend in it.
Paperwork that came with the truck shows work done to the front passenger side against a claim number - so I'm sure insurance was involved.
Oh well - it drives straight down the road for me!

I'd be interested in taking it if it still has the rear suspension components on it. Nevermind if it's just the frame.

You guessed right
Working on the tract bar now, skid plate ideas are being floated, and I've got a new pair of Poly Performance Rear Axles that will go in as soon as I find a fine spline diff. Tracking down some FJ60 knuckles and trying to figure how to get my 4x4 labs arms drilled for the better bolt pattern - AND lots of chopping and grinding gonna happen - more fun working on than wheeling as Jerry pointed out .

I also have the hitch that came off of it. The only thing left fot the suspension is the front/rear track bars. If you need anything on the thing let me know and I can ship it if you don't want it all, for some $$$ of course.

Yes and yes. But to use them is going to cost you 3 cases of Natty instead of 1

3 cases instead of 1... I thought the original deal was a 12 pack so the air/power upgrade should equal a case and a half. I'm very protective of my natty!

I meant 3 12 packs not cases. However that is still under the conditions that you haul it all away. The goal here is to get it out of my yard and get some free beer.
