FJ62 Axle
In need of a new axle...could get away with just the differential, but if anyone has an axle, we can talk.
Blew the tar out of mine on hwy 27. Pinion blew up like a grenade and sent bearings flying.
Would appreciate any help, thanks.
Hope all are well also. Haven't spoke to any of yall in quite a while. Been busy running the restaurant in Lake Wales, MAsterpiece Steakhouse. We've been open over 3 months now! yeah, we're still here! lol
the gears are 4.11, but maybe it;s christmas and someone has an axle stuffed with something lower..that would be sweet.

axle crazy...if anyone has got either a front or rear (or more than one) axle to an 80-96 FJ, holla. I need a rear, my stepbro needs a front...and we'll build with whateva else is available. Almost about to pull the trigger on that $250 rear from cruiser.net, but found a local yard that can order a used one, 3rd member, assembly, and all with the locker for only $600...put's it on my door step in about 5 bus. days. might be the route, i dunno. Any fj80s, 62s, 60s...we're there. where have all the axles gone?!

finally, resolution
thanks for the offer bro...
I finally created a remedy. just broke down and bought the parts. Goin to install a new set of yukon gears , 4.88, in the rear with a lockright locker...today's Sat...i expect it on the doorstep mon or tues. Bought it from Cruiser Outfitters. best deal i could find. wanted 5.29s, but too much whoopity-doopity about fitting the oversized ring gear into the housing turned me to the higher ratio.
Already have the rear in pieces, ready to install. had to purchase a new pinion flange as well along with new axle seals to make it all nice.
Will hopefully purchase gears and locker for the front to match within the next month or two. And yes, i know...just in case, goin to remove my front driveshaft to prevent accidental four wheel drive with two axle ratios.
any info yall could provide with this would be helpful. or just come help...free food and beer! lol
By the way, i'm setting up wholesale accounts with several four wheeler suppliers through my business, so let me know bout parts and i'd love to hook you up with the real cheap prices.
peace

get r dun
i'm offering free steaks and beer to anyone who comes to lend a hand this weekend. I'll admit i'm not the most apt mechanic, so we'll see if me and my stepbrother make short work of the install.
The only thing I'm actually worried about is the time...i wanna finish it in a day's work, hoping it doesn't turn into a week!
oh well, Winter Haven in Polk County. Hit me up if your hungry, thirsty, and bored.
thanks

Chad, so you live in winter haven? I wouldn't mind checking out the project but don't know anything about setting up those gears. I may be able to help set up the beers.

Not far at all
Only about 20-25 minutes south of I4 on HWY 27. We're in East winter haven...go south on 27 and you'll only make 1 right hand turn on crump rd to get to my house. Would love to have ya chuck or anyone else. sorry for the late reply. It's sat morn and we're diggin in now.
I got a start on the beer settin up, worked on it till 3am last night to make sure that part of the project turned out alright.
