Have a great time! I will be at home while Eric plays. (my choice)

Planning on the Turkey Trot to meet/visit with the gang!

Good ride ya'll. Nice to see everyone again. For those who didn't make it, if anyone is interested in studying love bugs there is a nice concentration of them in the swamp. Never seen anything like it.

They were a distraction from the dust. The love bugs are attracted to the color yellow. They were swarming the yellow vehicles. Jerry had thousands land on his.
Unlike my brown truck that attracts the flies.

More body carnage than I've ever seen before on a ride like this. At least for the 60's. But a great trail ride!

Yeah, the speedier attempts at getting through that trough (this thing is going to need a name) were really throwing the rigs against the wall. Luckily the FJCs were going at this more restrained.
I've had lots of love bugs congregate around my red truck and always thought that was their color of choice. There was some sap or something on the paint and they were huddled all around it apparently slurping it up. I think they were just thirsty!

That sucks!! I leave for Montana and everyone goes bonkers and breaks stuff, and I missed it all. Hope none of the boo-boo's are too serious. Everyone get the pictures to Pete so I can live vicariously through the internet. I'm curious as to who got flooded and what was so bad as to cause all this mahem.

Hope everyone came out OK and nothing broke "real bad"

Bret

P.S. It was 60 degrees and sunshine up here today. Humidity around 50%. Sweet.......

Carnage : Buff Out

Yo Capt Jim,

I'm buffing away....

More importantly, I made sure I could open gas door !

Pics may follow of before and after 'buff'.

Bret, you would have enjoyed the mud pit. thought of your off-camber trick, but hole was deeper and bottom side sloped a lot; was concerned of tip (roll) onto side- then what do ya do ?

The 'mud puddle' we played in during June was a tad smaller now; made it through the area that Brett got towed from . . .

whoa

howdy everyone, long time no chat...i'm still around though, was wheeling in richloam and camped there overnight just bout 4 weeks ago.
Which part of richloam did yall ride to get that damage?! We rode trails galore and everything was dried up and dismal at best.
Only the south east corner has any moisture now...unless yall know something i dont. would love to know which trail you were on, tigris, cabbage head? what did that to the 60s?

If you have a GPS, or can use a Topo map with grids, look for: N28 28 21.4 W82 01 00.7, Datum WGS 84, and you'll find the "little dip in the road" .

So, ya got some spares ?

Real ones, that is....

3 yr ago, bought a after markey 'look-a-like' for left side; faded real fast....
stop light is pink, turn is pissy yellow, backup is milky....

Glued the broken pieces and am using it; looks better than 'solid but faded' cheapie
