We need to know if you want a cover like a dash cap or a complete door with a soft exterior like OEM.

i'd vote for the latter. something that we can utilize our original handle with. But ther former has potential as well. Trolls repair looks really nice but after a point the GB is too far gon for it.

My guess is that teh complete door will last the longest? If so, I vote for that.
Like Eric says, we should be able to re-use our handles...

I am going to start a thread asking about that I think. My only reading about them is spotty and I recall the view (s) that they were flimsy but I have no personal experience with them. My take on them is from that- they were akin to the strength of a dash cap but designed to fit on the orig glove box metal. As well, I have heard that about the instrument panel.
Certainly better than nothing but.......

I'd rather not take business from SOR. They are serving the 'Cruiser community well. I'd rather concentrate efforts on parts that are not produced or replicated by anyone. It gets a larger range of parts available for all of us rather than 2-3 suppliers of the same part and no one making 2-3 other bits and pieces.

Agreed as a gen. proposition. Though SOR seems to have no issue with letting the 55 stuff disappear. It is their lowest revenue stream and I think they could really care less.
For example they go and produce troopy panels but not 55 panels. They did not look to replace their 55 dash pad supplier...etc..

When SOR no longer produces the parts then we can look into it but until then let's let them do it and concentrate on other things like the '55 floors, fenders and quarter panels that neither SOR nor anyone else is not offering.
Do they produce troopy replacement panels? Got a link?

Not troopy but LV wagon sorry, my ignorance on these species is profound. Specter Off-Road Land Cruiser Parts - Page 109 FJ45 LV Wagon Parts
i know you have the 45 but I rememberd seeing the panels when they were introduced. My pig soul was insulted and I did not pay much more attention.
