Brand New Member
To All,
I have been viewing for awile and just decided to join. Here are some details on my '55. Pictures are forthcoming as soon as I figure out how to make my picture files smaller so the upload will accept them.
1978 FJ55 (Red/White)
Fresh 2F w/ header, rebuilt carb, and no more smog parts
4" Springs, RSK Shackles, Old Man EMU Shocks
33x12.5 BFG's on White Wagon Wheels
Custom Bumpers w/ Old School Warn & KC Lights
New Front Seat
Flowmaster Exhaust
Armstrong Steering with New TieRods
CB and Alpine Tunes
Stock Drivetrain w/ all new seals
History: My Dad purchased her brand new in '77. It became my daily driver when I turned 16. I tipped her on her side once in highschool and again in college. Had some body work done on the cheap (bad move). I put in a fresh motor in college and left it alone for a few years. Recently I put on the 4" springs, wheels, and tires. I have been rebuilding and fixing things during the last year as time allows. She spends most of her time hunting and wheeling in the Pacific NW.
**Glad to be a new member.....excellent forum!!!**

Hey Nat, did you by that 55 from Dave Gore? I thought the paint, sliders and FF rear looked familiar.

I bought it from Garie Chavez in Az. I think Dave at 4+ did do some work on it......not sure if that is the same Dave you are referring to. The sliders are super burly, 1"thick bar welded in, I love it.

Thank You. A lot of my ideas have come directly from this board. I fond the front Man-A-Fre bumper because of how nice it looked on you truck.

That's funny-as soon as I saw yours I thought to myself, I should have bought one with the winch set-up...

'78 all stock, I have had the pig for a few months andhas run great. Plan to do a bit of floor board work, upgrades to get the kids in the back and hopefully a spring lift. Looking forward to listening, learning and living on the trails.

CO/WY is a top priority. Been working with TJ this fall on getting it rolling. Had work on the first meeting so didn't make it, but plan on the January one.
But thanks for the plug and making sure all show up.

Rottingham
Hi. I lurk here quite often and thought I'd post a pic of my unmolested 1973 piglet. He's pretty much all stock except for the muffler and one headlight. He's the 2nd best Canadian pig in original condition that I know of. Of course, I may be biased. Rottingham spends his time in the barn socializing with a bunch of 1928 Model A's while he awaits his turn for restoration in a couple of years...

that is a nice piggie... Reminds me of the fabled barn cruiser (Wilbur?) on the cover of TT, I think it was Nolen G's.

I'm still paying her off but she's in the driveway now.
74, v-8 (eddy intake, msd, headman headers), disk brake conversion, ratchet shifted 4 spd auto, rancho adjustables, power window conversion, sunroof, cb, cellular , dual battery, ridiculous sound system, alarm, anti-theft brake line lock, low jack, whitefaced guages, tranny cooler, ricaro seats, custom console.
20K since the rebuild (about ten years as far as I can figure).
This piggy was someones BABY. It came from CA and the owner passed away too soon. Any information on the guy who built this would be great. He was a diver in the LA area (I think). The po that I got it from brought it to Wyoming and left it buried in the snow for me to find. I'm a happy guy.

Wow that is one nice Piggie. I think you will have to drive it down to the CO/WY meetin some time so that we can all oogle over it.
Your right. Some one loved that cruiser very much. I hope you do to.

I just bought a '72, 2F w/ 4 speed for $1300 USD. Supposedly the guy abandoned it at an auto repair plce who put in new clutch and 4 speed. Probably will just drive it as is while I get my FJ40 back on the road and start the restoration on my FJ45.
