Help me pick a Pig Colour
I have pretty much decided to have my pig painted. Currently it is completely white. I was set to just have it painted white again, but the guy who is painting it for me said there would be no extra charge for a 2 tone paint job.
I have narrowed down the colours to; all white, brown/white (not sure of the exact paint colour) and red/white. Most 55's that came out in Aus were brown/white. I was thinking that I would keep this pig standard looking. I already have a preference, but thought I would throw it out there...........

Such a nice stock pig should have a nice stock colour.
I personally think the brown looks awesome all polished up.

This but I don't care for that brown and don't care for red either.
My all time favorite pig two tone color is white and gray.
But I'm sporting the nice nebula green and white two tone... and it is growing on me.
I'm also partial to tan and white.

Victor you should be telling him that green and white is the way to go!!
I agree that the interior is tough.

You know I never even thought of that. I just checked here; http://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series...ml#post4953926 - awesome info!
My paint code is 012 - Cygnus white. It does make sense to me to keep it original.
Up until recently I beleived that all pigs in Aus were brown and white. I picked up a pig brochure from the 70's on Ebay and had pics of different coloured pigs. The thread I found confirms this.

I know things can be a bit back-to-front in Tasmania. The pic of your pig proves it. Look at where the steering wheel is!!
An all white pig, thats pretty rare!

some p.o. repainted mine white as well. i'm thinking about going back to the original white blue scheme.
the first picture shows a truck with dark grey stock steelies. are those wheels a stock colour? my pig had stock steel wheels when i got it they looked to be the same colour.

Do it in all white since it's original. If you ever sell it, it'll be easy for someone to paint the bottom and roof whatever color they want

Not exactly. I repainted them with an off the shelf pressure pack. But Aus pigs came with grey steel (16x6 or 16x5.5?) wheels and 7.50R16 tyres.
