I don't know what I'm gonna do with this....

But here's the '78 Pig I just brought home today. Man I love this body style. What to do, what to do? It's a rolling chasis and seems to be in decent shape. I'll dig into it sometime soon when it cools down. I think it's 114 degrees outside. Here she is, brushed on paint and all.

I know what you're going to do with it....tow it up here to Berthoud, CO where it was only 88° F and we had a nice cooling afternoon shower. Then give it to me. Muahahahahaha

John, I got this from a guy in Camp Verde. Made it almost all the way back to Glendale before I lost the tread on one of the trailer tires in the heat. If I make the meeting, it won't be in the pig, maybe I'll finally bring the Tercel out. If I had unlimitted disposable income and didn't have to work, I could have it done in four days. I think it will be road worthy in about four years. I still have to tear into it and see just what exactly I'll be working with. Enjoy, Billy

Not by AZ standards, but it's still pretty solid all the way around.

You guys in Arizona would call a new car with brown paint "rusty". If you can dent the rockers instead of crush them their solid!!

Some more pics

got into it a bit with the camera. I'm not exhausted today from the drive and loading it. So this is what I'm working with, though I'm still unsure of what direction to go.

Looks like a great platform to install an updated drivetrain Also looks like the PO was going to install another type of motor judging by the welded in motor mounts. Is that roof rack welded to the top? What was welded to the frame, midway under the driver area? Not much bodywork to undertake, but you got a lot of PO mods to undo Keep us updated

Howdy! I'm thinkin we should start talking it up. My rig is just a few hours away from being on the road again, at least for some test driving. I hope to drive it to the Friday Night Fever (hot Landcrusiers on hot asphalt) John
