I have an early #816 1968 pig. I am wanting to do a minitruck brake upgrade and I ahve a few questions.

1. does the minitruck disc brake upgrade work on an early axle like mine?

2. Does the 68 model have the ball n claw joints? if so, should I upgrade to a later model?

3. if I need to upgrade, what years fit?

You should have a birfield style axle, so you will be OK for a mini-truck disc conversion. Operative word there is "should".

yeah should be a birf axle. you can do it, but you'll be best to swap everything mini from the knuckle out, in other words, from the 55 you'll only keep the housing, 3rd and inner shafts.

cool. do I use the mini truck steering arms? I saw a very good thread on this here, but cant find it anymore
