California emission test on a 69' pig

What kind of test should i expect for my pig. It doesn't have Smog equipment. Its a 69' i don't think it ever did. Thanks

You will be smog exempt. all vehicles older than, i think 1974, are exempt. You shouldn't have to worry. I was actually thinking of picking up a 1971 myself, but it needs some work...

75 and earlier pigs are exempt from smog tests.

That doesn't mean if you get one of those blow tests on the side of the freeway an officer can't pull you over and start looking for missing equipment, etc.

don't they have those emissions exempt stickers for the windshieild out there? colo used to put them on the newer vehicles cause they didn't have to go through emission for the first couple years

Nope... no stickers. But as I said, smog test exempt is all the 75 and older cars out here get.

It does NOT exempt you from having the equipment, proper engine swap, etc. However, the odds of getting "caught" are slim to none.
