So when I got everything put together, the odometer actually read 99,999.9

No worries! I rolled her over one mile while the and my son watched - wa-laa!!!

Getting that cluster back in takes some doing! I am glad I loosened the bolts holding the steering column up.

Took Pig for a quick drive (4 miles) and the odometer worked like a charm.

I hope this can help someone else...

Does anyone have a '74 FSM?

I need to know what connection on the back is for the VSS (vehicle speed sensor).

I need this for my 3FE ECU (computer)

Thanks!

This only a guess but I believe only odometers for Cali. emissions have/had the speed sensor built into it. Both my 78's have an "extra" spade lug on the back of the odo which ties into the emission "computer". I'll be pulling Arnold's tomorrow to replace the amp meter and will snap a photo.

Does anyone know if you can plug a '76 gauge into a '74 harness?
