Started painting it with a roller
I started to paint the Pig with a roller. I am using Rustoleum Royal Blue and I haven't decided on the white yet.
What a difference it makes from the crappy two tone grey primer. My Pig isn't in great shape, but the paint will help it out some.
I will post pics when it's done.

No. I'm doing a little prep, a couple coats of paint and a clear coat. This rig will get scratched up fast in the brush. I didn't want to put hours into it and then watch it get torn off.
It looks good from about 10' or so. Lots of body damage too :(

How much prep work are you doing? Like how much sanding wet or dry
what grit and such.....

I used a Black and Decker Mouse Sander and some 200 grit. Then I wiped it down with paint thinner. That is it. Some spots where the PO tried his hand at fiberglass are really rough, and I'm sure that there is a rusty mess in there.
If this were my daily driver, and Pig that was in much better condition I would probly take more time and put in more effort. But since I will use this in the brush and for wheeling/working I don't need to spen much time.

When you used the 200 grit did it leave alot of scratches? I will be doing this
to my daily driver. I imagine i will need to go quite a bit more fine huh?
Post some prep pics if you have them very interested i seeing how it looks
before a shoot...

I wouldn't take my approach to a daily driver/ or something nice. The sander seems like it works pretty well. I'll post some pics for you tomorrow. Today is my youngests 5th birthday.
Oh, and it looks fine from about 10 ft. Any closer and you start to notice the blems...

I would love to see pictures, I havent seen many with the paint rolled on -- I would like to see one that doesnt look like batsh*t on a pump handle.
Post them whenever you can.

Pictures!!
I took a couple of pics for you guys. It's been snowing and raining so I think I'll have to stop painting until it gets warmer out.
The pictures are huge. And the crappy rockers will be replaced with some tube steel at some point.

Is the color of the paint good? It's only one coat right now. I like it a lot. It isn't too shiny and looks classy for a Pig.

Thanks. I think it will be fine when it is done. No prize winner for sure. At least the wife will allow it in the front yard
