WTB Parts

hi all, i'm looking for some parts if anyone wants to sell them.

-> 2F air cleaner assembly (the whole mess, i have a 2F engine with an F air cleaner assembly, so i'll need just about everything).
FJ55 '72 (or equiv.):
-> cargo bay panels (don't have to be in great shape, i just want to use them for patterns and build some new ones)
-> sun visors (both)
-> oh sh!t handles (all four)
-> passenger wiper post
-> defrost hoses (all three)
-> rear window key cylinder actuator thing with key. (if you have it, and you're selling matching door cylinders as well, that would be even better)

rad.

-b

The F air cleaner would be correct for your 72. Chances are you have a 72 carb on a later 2f engine (a F155 would have been the correct engine for a 72 not a 2F the F155 is still a F engine). If you get a 2F air cleaner it proabably won't fit your 72 carb. The 2F has a stud out the carb while a 72 didn't, the air cleaner fit over the top of the carb and a clamp was used to tightened it. The 69 two barrel carb used a stud but won't work with a 2F air cleaner.

I have a NOS of this if you are interested! It even has the ORIGINAL Toyota keys for it. Rekey the remainder of your locks and no one will be the wiser (I was thinking of doing that for my truck just so I could have the original key)!

$50 + shipping. I take Paypal if you want. If interested let me know. I can also post a picture if you want.

@living in the past: yeah, i know that the 2F carb has the post in the center, but won't the clamp still work? I can just plug the top of the air cleaner where that post goes through, if the clamp will still fit.

@cruiser guy: dood. you've got a deal.

all that is not too hard given some patience and luck. But I'd look up some of the threads on the defrost hoses. Think n2666s had one and maybe Trollhole. Otherwise it is SOR and about 150.00. I keep shooting for panels. Someday.

yeah;

panels - shouldn't be too hard, since i don't care if they're sh!te.
hoses - you know, i'll go do a search on that, i was just going to make them if i couldn't find them for super cheap. it's actually $170 at $OR for those hoses. they're just fücking hoses! you've got to be an idiot to pay that much, when you could easily make them.

Damn proud SOR is. I think Lou n2666s had a good inexpensive material IIRC. I have not messed with it yet. Do you want handles (and just to verify...door pull handles or window rollers? If the latter oem or Teq but dif model?)

yeah, here are two defrost options:
-> FRESH AIR DUCT HOSE : JC Whitney: Auto Parts & Accessories
-> FlexForm Dust Collection Hose - Rockler Woodworking Tools

i want the oh sh!t handles that are above the doors. not door handles or rollers.

I have a pair of the panels for the cargo area. No vinyl, nothing, just the pressboard panels (left over from the ones that I got to do up my truck just right). If you want I can bring them up when I drive up in the summer and we can meet when I roll though LA. They are a little awkward and expensive to ship. I've also got a set of sun visors that I replaced when I got a better set (not sure if I need these for the FJ45LV yet though).

Post #78 in my POTM http://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-iron-pi...atemala-3.html you can see what I did on my truck for the defrost hoses.

Here's the NOS tailgate keyed switch with the OEM Toyota Motor keys.

That might work if the 2F air cleaner had a clamp but it don't. It uses threaded studs. Two from the base of the air cleaner and thrid from the carb. You could find a later carb but then you would have linkage ito deal with nstead of a cable from the gas pedal. That is if the FJ55 are the same as the FJ40.
