This sucks so much Chris!!! I hope some one can buy it. I would but I 1) have no cash and 2) what cash I do have needs to go to my piggie and 40.

Good luck Chris, it stinks to have the 62 stuck away from home...

The FJ62 transmission failure has been verified. Bump before going to eBay.

FYI the frame on this pig is very nice and clean.
I spent the better part of a day under it. Well worth the money. __________________ Mark Janzen Born to lose and destined to fail www.mntoyx4.com www.coloradolandcruisers.org www.myspace.com/manjerk |

I hate it for you dude. This is totally worth 5-6K, but the rust is scaring people away. If I were closer, I know of a perfect body sitting in a junkyard I could toss on it...
If you decide you want to sell the 4.88 thirds and ARB, I'm first in line. __________________ 72' FJ55 - SOA, SR, DB, FJ62 PS, Webber, Header, H.E.I., 37 X 12.5 X 15 MT/R's, Savanah-heat air freshener. 83' FJ60 - Mint Condition which is now FOR SALE 07' FJC - Atrac Hack - DD 03' Matrix Xrs - It's her's 08' Tundra, 4.7 2WD - Company Truck Quote:

Thanks Zuluzeugma, it's funny because the rust isn't really too bad. I could give it a quick paint job and sell it some unsuspecting person but that's not the way I do stuff. The 4:88's will go in my 62 if they go anywhere, sorry.
With any luck will say "keep it" when we move to our new place with a garage in a couple weeks.

totally sucks
I spent 6 months looking for a pig that wasn't trashed totally, gave up and got a 60 that i'm happy with. Today on mud there are like 5 I had the cash to plunk down on.
Really like this one though. A little redneck body work and its a dream ride.

Thanks Tatortot, it looks like nobody can afford much these days. I'll probably pull it off the open market and turn it over to a guy I know who runs a body shop as a project to keep his staff busy when business slows. Repair the damage and rust, give it a paint job and sell it on eBay.

We'll see Lou. I'm spending a small fortune on a H55F for my 62 which I'm getting back this week and buying a new house this week too. By the time I do that with all associated expenses I'll see where I'm at (besides the poorhouse).

Geez, I'm a jerk. I posted this in numerous places and didn't make the changes here that I did everywhere else.
![]() Here's what the $5,000 price is for: 1969 FJ55 Body with rare side mount turn signals 1977 FJ55 Frame 1977 FJ55 Firewall SBC (350) with Edlebrock Performance manifold & Holley 4 Barrel New Exhaust System Toyota 4 speed Atlas OD (17%) effectively acts as 5th gear. Less Rust than most pigs Some dents/bondo My apologies for my lack of details, not trying to mess with anyone but not able to lose any more than I already am. I paid $2k for the truck, around $4K for roll cage, suspension parts & work, that doesn't include 1K for exhaust system, hood, drivers door, and other parts included. Again, my apologies for misleading anyone.

My pig is still for sale but I'm no longer actively trying to sell it. I'm moving this week and will reconsider the future of this truck as I settle in the new place. I may end up parting it and selling the extras I've gathered as I get everything in one place. I'll post as my decision gets made.

Glad you found one but I'm pretty sure you'll have another 0 on that purchase number by the time you rebuild the suspension and a full roll cage, etc.
