Picture of 55 lift hatch striker?

Anyone got a pic of a 55 tailgate striker? I have lots of reproduction 45LV door and lift hatch strikers. I have heard that they might be the same as a 55 striker with some slight grinding on the backside.

If you mean tailgate striker, then yes, they are the same. 55's don't have lift hatches.

doh! ya, thats what I meant. Looks to be the same as an LV striker where the back needs to be rounded off with a grinder.

Would we even need to grind 'em? Or is the grind recommended because of the OEM/stock look? They look like they would bolt right on and work great as is. Thoughts?

They may not fit in between the body and the tailgate if not ground down. Only a guinea pig can tell me.

Brett put the work in to send me pics so I'm sending him a pair to try out and thinks theyll work as is. They're gonna be $10 a pair as is. Brett said they may sell better if theyre cad plated? It'd drive the cost up. Whatcha think.

Theyre en route Brett.

And kick Speicher any time he's standing in the corner with his back to you. It'll get messy if you don't.

fwiw, depending on how thick these are, they might be able to be used on the door strikers too. that piece is removable on the stock strikers
