Lens Gaskets???

I am trying to find Tail Light gaskets and side marker gaskets for 78 FJ55. They are the tall tri-colored ones. Toyota does not have the gaskets.

If the gaskets are not availible, any idea where to get the material, and cut my own?

These are the tail lenses.

I dont know for sure, but it almost looks like the gaskets from a 78ish FJ40's tail lights would work?

I would give CDan a call and ask him if that is a possibility.

The gaskets for those were foam rubber that crumbles when old. For all of those type of gaskets, just rubber works. My favorite is a cut out from innertubes. It last long and is easy to cut with a utililty knife. I have used it for smaller lense gaskets, door handle gaskets, and mirror gaskets.

Try mark's FJ45LV buildup thread. he bought some rubber material and cut all new gaskets for his that seemed to come out very nicely.

Here's a link: 1965 FJ45lv build up/resto thread
