| LV tailgate help/pics please....
Need a little help here fella's..
Can any of you guys take some photos of the recessed area on the tailgate skin on the lv. Not sure if mine was right when I got it because it was so bent and cobbled up.
I know the skin has to be recessed in that area for the hinge to stick out, but wondering of how finished of an edge is in that area? If they cut the skin and returned it towards the inside and welded it? Or, if they just cut it and left an opening with an unfinished edge and more of a drain area? Or, if it was butt welded after cut?
Any pics of several angles would sure be appreciated.

| Thanks for the pics, I'll take more from anybody who's got them!!
The arrows I have is kinda the area I am interested in. From the pic it looks as though they cut the skin for the hinge and just left that area open between the tailgate and the skin itself.
If anyone else has got more of this area, please post.

| Went home for lunch and took a couple pics.
Just wanted to confirm to everybody what I'm trying to do. I got my tailgate skinned now so I have to cut that area out.

Yes they help, thanks! Pretty much confirms what I saw in Ground up's pics. Looks to me like they folded the edges over around the recess, but it is left open in that area. They don't fasten that portion of the skin to the tailgate.
