Thumbs up Australian FJ40 Softop V8!!!!!

G'Day guys,

Yes i am an ozy first of all.

I thouht i might show you guys some Australian muscle, however some of yu guys have some wild rides of which we would have no chance in getting on the road "legal" over here. Great forum too, looks like the 40's are bigger over their as far as mods go.

Any way here are my specs.

Holden 308 V8, your version of a GMC motor.
Motor Mods inc, yella heads, 650 double pumper, o/s, crane electronic ignition, twin 3 inch dump pipes just behind rear diff.
CIG Rear weld locker
Dana Diffs
Full floating rear end
3 inch leaf lift kit
33 inch muddy's for road and 35inch for play
billet chrome racing rims
4 point harnesses
roll cage
Custom checker plate interior

Anyway here are some basic pics of me up one of our manny coast lines. Bush/flex pics to come, cant upload them at the moment for some reason.

Very nice rig. Welcome to the board. Looks like you have fender extenders... do you need those for legal purposes over there?

Cheers mate,

Yep, have to have the wheels covered if they are out past the guards. Over here the cops have an old test, if they spit on ya fender and it hits the tyres you cop a big fine.

Bloody stupid if ya ask me, but who am i to argue with the law.

Their are more dont's than do's over here when it comes to road legal vehicles.

But we will keep pushing the boundaries.

Nice, did you make those doors yourself or buy them somewhere? How much?

Chers for the comments, the doors are custom items, cut them down and then fiber over the top.

Yella heads are Yellow Terra Heads, they are a performance part here in Australia, kind of like your Eidelbrock or something.
