When i purchased it in fall 1995. What I was told it was a hunting vehicle for some sort of private hunting club so my guess it was used during the winter months (road salt in PA) and probably not washed after use. I had planned on making a truck out of the frame and wanted the winch. After a equipment accident took me out of commission for a year, I have never gotten to it and it has been setting there ever since.

cjltlc,
If you decide to restore it, it will be a nice rig- but you will have a whole lot of work ahead of you. At least it iwll not get any worse sitting under cover. That FJ40 next to it looks to be in pretty good nick though.
Cheers,
Josh

Beside the 45 is a 1961 FJ40 soft top, then 1960 FJ25, Then my wife's 1965 FJ40 in which I would love to have done when she gets back from Iraq in Dec.
I may farm that job out so I can complete the remodel on our home.
One of my options might be trading one of my FJs to someone who does quality work to finish the job. Still undecided.

I thought you guys would appreciate a photo of an FJ45RV that a mate of mine down here in the land of Big Brother is restoring. This is one of the cleanest FJ45s I have ever seen. It came from Coober Pedy, which is about the dryest place on the planet outside of Peru.
He is restorign the rig back to 100% stock, and has been playing with it for about 3 or 4 years. He just received some seats, switches, handles, rims and hubcaps from Marv. I will post some photos of it when it is done.
Cheers,
Josh

need info on my 63 fj45 lwb flatbed
hi.
would you have any info on a 1962 fj 45 landcruiser 3 speed column shift.it's painted with red lead undercoat and grey duco still original. they are a solid cab with no rear side windows ,the windscreen doesn't fold down, the only part that comes off is the roof.it has a vacum transfer case and a tool box under the passanger seat.it's an f engine with the oil filler going into the sump and an external oil filter.the door glass is opreated by a leaver instead of the normal winder as in other landcruisers.it also has landcruiser stamped into the grill surround. round indicators with orange on one side and red on the other. i was told that there might of been a couple here for the donald campbell speed trails as service cars.but other then that no one seems to know anything about it . any info would be much appreciated.
thanks
