I can't recall but are you making both enclosed caps, as pictured earlier, and caps for the front hubs (ones with holes for the hub to stick out)? If you are not sure let me know and I'll post a picture.

While I do have a few old originals, I would also be interested in at least one new set of 5 (all with-out holes for the lock outs...I will have no lock outs when completely restored) ...I don't want to jump the gun here, but seeing as how it's taken this long to get some made, I might actually buy two sets as I don't think a re-run would be any time soon.

Would you ship individually, or bulk ship to one location and have someone here disburse them?

PS...these below are not mine.

. That is what the set means. The cut for the hubs will be, however, made using a die before the piece goes in for chrome plating. So if all goes well, expect a very clean set.

Bulk shipping them would mean the cost of shipping per cup will come down to a few dollars. If shipped individually it would be about $60-70 on the set. So if anyone wants to volunteer please say I..

I'll take a set plus the FJ45LV rear quarters. Mine may not be going to the states though.

I would like 5 as well but will the come chromed or will they need to be chromed here. Two with holes for front. Also, I need the rear quarters much more than the caps. I never did receive a reply from you. Do you have a pair of qtrs ready to ship?

I sent PM's to everyone I know who was working on restoring LV's. Eshan made up prototype rear ribbed quarter panels to replace the ones on the LV that rot out http://forum.ih8mud.com/fj45-owners-...under-way.html . I got very little response on any sort of group buy at that time. I'm still needing a set, it looks like Mike "Merbesfield" needs a set and now possibly you as well. Shall we try the group buy one more time? PM me and let me know!

I'm also going to be needing a rear sill where the tailgate hinges off of. Check your truck and see how that is and maybe we can get those too!

Oh, and a bitchin FJ45 that may or may not be for sale.

Breakthrough.... ..
I finally found someone who could get down to making this... I saw a rough sample (see pictures attached). It was just to show me that the guy can do it. I was real excited to see it as it was very nicely done. Its in two pieces. Outer and inner. I have asked the guy to formally start working on the dies required. While we are a step closer (a big one), there are still a few hurdles to cross. .. I am sure we can do it now.. Thank you John Pardi for the sample that you sent. .

Wow Ehsan! Good news to the Cruiser world, Since I started this project, I would be glad to help do the shipping for the North American people that will be ordering sets of hubcaps. I am in Northern California near Sacramento. Keep up the good work. John Pardi

Shipping for these should be fine via DHL also but if they are done in bulk, the shipping, ordering, payment, and paperwork issues will be reduced drastically. I will get a DHL quotation and keep you updated.

Ehsan, are these going to be plated by you or come to us raw? How will the two pieces be joined?

The final pieces will be chrome plated here after being spot welded together. We will do several tests on the welds and I will post pics on the configuration of the welds here once done. I will also post pictures (detailed) with closeups once the piece is finalized.
Thanks

Are the ridges going to be stamped at the same time as the logo? What about caps without centers for locking hubs?

The picture above was just an experiment to see if this can be done. The new die that is being made will make an exact replica of the OEM cup. The T in the center will then be stamped separately and so will the center hole.
