Not a treasure, but just a cool thing about 25s: body color frame. Mine used to be ox blood.

That looks very much like the flap that goes around the PTO shifter when it's in neutral. One of these days I'll track one of those down for my rig...

We have a winner!!! I "think" only John, Marv and I have the FJ25 PTO......any idea what happened to the original drivetrain Eric?
I like to just lay under my 25 staring at the painted frame............you'd understand if you saw the colors they come in around here......rust, rust flake, rust powder................ Under the red is the zinc chromate primer, which is pretty neat since some parts of the body have no primer at all.

the '57 I sold to Paul Decker had a PTO on it. I think I'm going to paint the frame red.

When I do the restoration on mine I'll paint it body color because it's correct.........but otherwise I don't really like the look of it.....looks like a shoddy repaint.

I guess you could use it as a urinal if your blood alcohol is over .20 or more.
The PTO lever cover is a lot larger than the one for the early 40s. On the later 40s the cover got even smaller.

Living in the Past - Is there any way I can get you to lay both of those PTO covers and a ruler/tape measure on a scanner, scan the parts and then PM/email me the result? I'd like to make a couple of those for my 40 and 25/45 hybrid.
Thanks!

I don't have access to a scanner, but I could take high quality pictures with a ruler in the picture and email them to you. Plus I could make a pattern and mail it to you.

Just pulled an original dizzy off of the 25 here with the external vaccume advancer that turns the entire dizzy. Definitely original as it is a Denso part and definitely for a 25 since I ordered a 25 rotor for ha ha's from SOR (last one) and got this tiny little thing that didn't fit any of my distributors. Well, this one has the exact same rotor and an oddball small cap. Too dark to take pics here now, but will post one up in the AM. A pretty cool feature that it has is this reservoir full of grease that you turn every once in a while to push grease onto the shaft. It still has grease too even after not running for 15+ years. I think its better than the updated one that you drop oil onto. But thats just me.
I also pulled the radiator and found the original cloth isolators underneath that go between the radiator and the U support. They sure liked that stuff. Thats three places I've found it now, the rad, in between the body and the fender side skirts, and on top of the bib to rest the hood on.
Dizzy is painted body color too and the diaphram seems to be in working order.

I always wondered what those little "FJ25" distributor parts were really for......
I've got to post this little treasure.......and yes Rob, I still need a set, these were not mine to keep.
