Mine is the same as Bill described.
Apologies for a dirty rig. [/QUOTE]
Yep, mine is just like that except the wire clips on mine are attached by a screw.

So how do i get this off?
I just need to buy gasket and new timing gear yeah?

You can and should get the gears from Toyota. Get both, gasket and seal should be available too. The seal will crumble when you take it out. Numbers should be in the part # thread. You need a puller to get the pully off, there should be two tapped holes in the face of the pulley that you'll thread into. My cheapo harbor freight one actually came with the correct bolts. The pulley "Presses" on with a BFH when you reassemble. Generator was the same color as the starter.

so I think these are all the bits i need aside from the pully "puller"
Timing Cover Gasket 11328-61010
Timing Cover Seal 90311-45069 034-29A Beck-Arnley 052-2144
Crank Timing Gear 13521-60010
Camshaft Gear 13523-60030 (Steel replacement for fiber gear)
Anything else?
Want to have all the parts and do it in one swoop!

ok pulled the generator and cleaned it up, preped and put 2 coats of hunter green on it, looks great.
Will install it tomorrow after it sets up completely
Waiting on pulling the pully and timing gears until i make my order and recieve parts.
Just so i am clear.
When i pull the pully and remove the timing cover...
Do i just pull the cam and timing gears, and replace them with steel ones and put the new gasket and timing cover back on?
Or do i need to remove the timing plate as well, and put the rear timing gasket on, timing plate, cam and timing gears, timing cover gasket, then install timing cover and hammer on the pully?
Also, does that pully just stay on by hammering it back on? no clip? lock washer?
Thanks guys, some crappy flash photos:

Yes. Not being critical. But everything else looks new!
I had to clean mine up (82 BJ42) earlier this year. I used JB Weld to fill some of the corrosion dimples. Worked great!

Hi Destin I don't like butting in but the timing gears are not just going to fall off. The best way is to remove cam and press off. Otherwise on the fibre one you may have to drill or cut the hub off cam, then drill and tap cam to put it back on. Do not lever too much on gear to pull it off or you will break cam retaining plate. I hope I have not scared you too much, don't forget to time the gears, so have fun. Cheers Fred.

Hehe thanks for the warning man.
Drilling and cutting them off sounds a bit of putting to be honest...
Maybe this is a bit out of my reach :(

The green really sets it off. Very nice.
Destin, any chance you can clean the lens on your camera? Many of your recent photos are coming through a little soft. I think your lens is smudged.
Don't forget about the wrenches on the right front frame rail!

Thanks man
the timing gear?
Fwed was saying something about drilling and cutting to get the gears free, so I am kinda questioning wether or not it is within my grasps
At the very least i will pull the main pully off and look to see what the gears look like.
Still need to get Shane's 411 on the jack painting, where are ya man?

Thanks man
I will clean the lens, probably has a mix of salt/sand and dog from the last trip to the beach
i need to be more careful with my tools though hehe, just noticed that when you mentioned it Fortunately it is a smooth ride from in and outta the shop bay
Looked on SOR for the proper thermostat housing, nada to be found :(
Taking the fan, pully, and some other bits to the powder coater soon
Cleaned up some electrical stuff today a bit too, will post more photos once i get this project for work deployed.
