Just Ordered - Vodoo Blue !!

I just ordered an 07 in Vodoo Blue

6 speed manual, and a tow hitch.....Nuttin else!!

I kind of like adding my own goodies, so I am picking the rims, mats, and accessories when it gets here.

You would have thought it was the end of the world to have to sell a truck without all the options on it!!

Anyways, I have a 78 FJ and when I saw this thing on the road, I had to have one. I hope it is worth 5 yrs of payments

Be sure to look into the A-Trac upgrade/mod :-)
Well worth the $50 and 2 minutes it takes to install. IMO

Just curious, what models of the FJC don't have the A-TRAC. I have a 6-speed manual and it already had it.

Seems the base 4x4 6 speed has the locker! But you need to install the A-Trac switch after delivery.

Thanks again for the welcome.

That is the FJ I am looking for, but hard to find in the Pacific NW. MSRP?

Nice find!

I had to work the dealer pretty hard to get him to order one for me. I told them the on dash instruments would get in the way of a short drivers vision and cause a safety issue for my wife (so much for upgrade pkg #1 and #2)

I also told them I was adding 35" tires and the spare would not fit with the rear wiper (Guess I don't need the convenience package)

Then they said it would have to have the aluminum wheel package so I told them I was adding beadlock rims (Just the steelies please).

You have to have your story right before you go in there or they will sell you one of the 30 or so units they already have allocated and ordered. (Packaged to the hilt I might add)

In short, it is YOUR vehicle, you should be able to order it the way YOU want it

I added the figures up and they actually came up 100 under MSRP. (plus the 605 delivery fee the factory charges)

I went through a fleet dealer who usually sells to me for 500 over invoice...not this time though. It is good to establish a relationship with a dealer and be sure he knows when you send him a potential buyer.

The hardest part was to keep them from adding goodies to my order

A-Trac is in upgrade packages #1 and #2 on 4x4 models. (not the convenience group)

My question is if the A-Trac malfunctions while you are using the hack to make it work, will they cover the unit or it's components if your unit did not have the button when you bought it?

I guess since it is part of the stabiltrac system they would have to fix it. I would keep that little button cover just in case!

After a brief discussion with my salesman, he called the service shop and they agreed to do an ATRAC switch install - If the dealer does it, your covered.
They were charging me for the switch and $30 labor - but oh the peace of mind.

I opted to upgrade my rig instead and am waiting on an option2 due in the next couple weeks.

Hell! I added more stuff above my on-dash instruments just to make a whole column from rear-view to dash. Most armored cars have 2 front windows with a beam in the center rather than a solid windsheild. Your wife wouldn't really lose as much visibility as you would think. Besides, tell her to buy her own d-mn FJ!

BTW, congrats on your new toy!

I just wanted the stick and the locker. Having an A-trac (hack) was a bonus, but I can live without the rotating balls on my dash It was not really a visiblity issue (just the excuse I gave the dealer).
As for the wife, this baby has to double as the soccer mom-mobile during the week as piling up miles on our aging Navigator is a costly proposition.
And me...I have MY own FJ already
