Chrome your stock 17" alloys
I think the stock rims chromed look pretty nice. They are warrantied for three years also. I'd have all five rims chromed though, including the spare. I learned one thing with re-chromes. About the only thing that really messes them up is when they are really hot - like from braking, or a 110 degree day - and you take them into a car wash or hose them down with cold water. A couple of weeks later, they started flaking and bubbling. The cheapest aftermarket chromed rims are $180 that I could find, so this is comparable cost wise, and look better. Some people like chrome; flame suit is on and adjusted;

I usally don't like chrome, but they actually do look pretty good. Wouldn't work for me, though. My stock alloys are already all scrached up with some deep gouges. Chrome doesn't like rocks.

Having owned a tire store for over 7 years I can say that after market chrome is nothing but problems. The problem starts with moisture inside the tire. All air has some moisture, so when you air up your tires it gets inside and starts to eat at the chrome from the inside out. You will end up getting bead leaks through the chrome plating. I have seen this for years on highend cars that have after market chrome on them. Just my 2 cents worth.

I originally posted about those over at the FJCruiser.com forum. Went over like a lead balloon. Plus, a guy was selling a set outright and could not sell them for $500.00. It is all about what YOU like though.
