Different brand of rock rail installed at the port

The wait is over, my FJ is here. I'm impressed and very happy.
Before it made port, the sales rep said "rock rails" were no longer listed as options. When it hit port he called to say Toyota was offering "Predator" step bars. I ordered them. They look great. I'm sure they will bend but I doubt I'll be able to tear them off easily. I'll post phots if I can figure out how. I see that Smittybuilt makes Predator stuff.

What rims and tires? Looks good.

No rock rails? That's the first I've heard. I ordered mine (order confirmed) and it's supposed to have rails installed when it hits in a few weeks.

Those are not rock rails, and if mine came in with those I'd send em back. If you like them, great, but I want mine with real rock rails, and not steps.

I'll be calling Toyota to find out what the deal is soon.

Be careful with those, I think they mount to the body, NOT the frame. So, if they do bend, so will your rockers/doors .

Nice lookin though.

I can't see the pic, but if they are just step bars, take them off before you go off-roading. They will surely bend and then, as mentioned above, they will get pushed up into your body/doors.

Those are lame, sell them on ebay really fast like to some bozo and get yourself a REAL set of sliders from one of the many reputible aftermarket companys out there.

You'll thank me for the advice the first time you get into some rocks
