I'm running All Pro's Sliders & have trail tested them, they look best when running aftermarket rims with 3.75" backspacing = outside edge of sliders line up with outside edge of rims.

I've got it narrowed down to either the Allpro, Man-a-fre wide sliders, or the ones Budbuilt is about to release. I will make my decision as soon as I see what Bud's look like. He said pics will be up by this coming week...most likely on tuesday. He is also working on a bunch of sweet stuff for the FJ. E-locker guard, Rear storage drawer, etc... I can't wait to see it all. IMO his skids are the toughest, best engineered, best looking ones on the market. This guy knows what he is doing.

All Pro Sliders, Made in the USA and bolt on with grade 10.9 hardware included. No modifications to the e-brake cable assembly. Gussetted legs, mounting plates line up to existing frame holes, zero modifications required to install.

Homemade using an old trampoline frame and some 1.5" square tubing I had around the barn. Cut the plates to bolt up using 10.9 grade hardware to the existing bolt holes. Designed all angles to evenly distribute impact forces along the frame and protect the panels.

Here are the pics....

Metal Tech's new step sliders. Typically come PC'd in black, but I requested a custom red color for mine.
$549.95 for Black Powdercoat finish, +$120 for colors other than black.
3/16" steel construction - open box design to allow PC to cover all insides. 49 lbs each side.
Flat surface on top is appx 4" wide.

Wow, those are different! They look solid as hell. How many pounds are they? I like the Red powdercoat. I have a voodoo 07 and I'm doing all red highlights throughout. I'm still waiting to see what Budbuilt is putting out, but these are a consideration. Why would it cost anymore to powedercoat in a different color? That doesn't seem right to me. Anyhow, Nice sliders. I can't decide if I should do the sliders in red, or if that would be too much. Once I figure out how to post pics on this forum (i don't know how to compress the file small enough to post) I'll see what you guys think.

Bud from BudBuilt just e-mailed me some photos of his sliders. One pair is straight and the other flares out like the AllPro. I'm going with Bud's because he makes everything rock solid and he is really a cool guy. Plus he will powdercoat in any color you want!

Very solid indeed. not sure why the PC upcharge, probably because they do them en masse when doing black. Black inks/dyes/etc are always cheaper than colors too. They weigh 49lbs each side. Not sure what the factory Toyota ones weighed for comparison but these Metal Tech ones are heavier.

Well, I ordered the wide sliders from Budbuilt today in a black textured powdercoat. I was going to go with red to match the skid plates, but it just didn't look right to me on photoshop. Anyhow, Bud said I am the first person to purchase his sliders. That makes me feel extra special! The style I got looks very similar to the allpro sliders. I'll try to get some pics posted as soon as i get them. Bud will e-mail you pics if you are interested, as they are not up on his website yet. I also have the pics and would be happy to foreword them to anyone who is interested. I bought all five skids from him including the extra beefy gas tank skid, so he gave me a package price of about $900 for the skids (the 800 dollar package is with the standard gas tank skid) and the rock sliders were only $375! I don't know of many places you can get products of such high quality for so little. IMO, Bud is the definition of a good businessman. I can't speak highly enough about his products, his prices, and his willingness to answer any questions you may have. Anyhow, now there is a new option out there when it comes to sliders!
