How long did your FJ take to get here?

Hi, folks,
Thanks to all for the help with the A-trac switch installation info --
that has been very helpful!

I placed an order with a local dealer for a very simple FJ: locking diff, convenience package and side curtain airbags, nothing else. Dealer
says "could be 2 weeks, could be 3 months."

For those of you who have ordered and received FJ's, how long did yours take? Thanks,
John

Same here. I ordered on 5/5/06 and am wondering how long. It's like some sick endurance test or you need to be a monk

It took mine about 2 months to get here. They initially told me 6 weeks but it got it early.

It seems like a long wait but well worth it.

It depends on what is scheduled to be shipped to your area. If you order one with a configuration that is already scheduled to be delivered to your area it won't take that long. If you want a specific setup that is not on it's way already it might take eight weeks or come sooner like in 3 months or something.

Anticipation

I ordered mine in May of 2005. Toyota accepted the deposit in September and I drove away on the 21st of March 06.
I love it and the FJ is well worth the wait.

My order for a specific setup was put in on April 23. I'm still waiting...

2 weeks ago I was told it'd hit the port in California in about 3 to 4 weeks. Then it could be a few weeks after that to get it out.

Mine is a long story that goes back to late Nov 2005, but my FJ Cruiser was re-ordered on Mar 9th. The unit was allocated on April 19th and scheduled for a May build. It was not built as of last Friday, so I don't have a high level of confidence that it will be built by the 31st, but hopefully SOON!

The dealer sales manager and the Toyota regional manager are optimistic, saying it should be at the dealership by July 5th, five weeks May 31st.

I put my order in the middle of March, and they sent the request in at the beginning of April.

I was told 2 months, but my rig has not even been built yet, and when they get a VIN #, that means it is ready for the boat.

Once that happens, it is about a 3 week or more process.
Nothing to hold mine up at the port.
Did have rock rails on order, but after learning they are out of stock I canceled them.

AJ @ Bentup made me up a set, and they should be here soon.

Thanks for the good information! I bought one a few days ago,
and they have reportedly located one to match my specs which should be here mid-June. (I was flexible on color and only wanted
locking differential, side curtain airbags and convenience package.)
I had wanted rock rails but when I heard they were out of stock,
I also abandoned that plan and will get some from aftermarket sources.

Hope Toyota follows through as planned!

Thanks,
John

Getting mine powder coated too.
They are the same ones on this yellow beast AJ is working on.
