Test drove one yesterday, no go.......

Let me preface this by saying that I was keen to buy from the initial concept car. Love the look of the FJ.

Just didn't get a good feel driving it. Felt like I as in the middle of an airplane looking out the little windows at the road. There was quite a bit of wind noise from the roof rack on the interstate and the vehicle was moved around by the wind a good deal. Felt very solid and it may indeed be great off road but it didn't drive all that well to me on road.

But give me diesel and a soft top and I will bite my tongue.

If you didn't like the wind noise on the hard top, I hardly think you'll be buying a soft top version...

same here, when I test drove one it was at the winds mercy and seemed to willingly follow the groves in the road. Not very good for around here because it's windy and the roads suck

Different tires grip the grooves more or less. The tires that they come with are not of the highest quality either. IMHO, Toyota should have made a deal for the BFG All terrains.

But when you buy the hard top, you don't expect to deal with wind noise. Those who purchase a soft top vehicle already go in expecting to deal with more noise, but feel it is worth the trade off.

How about this....

If you don't want to buy one, fine. But we don't care and don't want to hear why.

How about, if you want one, who gives a flying fuck back at ya?

You're worse than some of the trolls that pop up every once in a while.

Brian, I don't think he understands what a troll is. I was afraid of what the FJC might bring in as far as forum members go, but I guess we can already see the repercussions.

Not at all. In fact, most new members have been really cool and I'm glad they have been informing us about the newest Toyota. The statement I made was targeted at one or two individuals, so I apologize to the rest of the forum members.

Okay gentlemen, let's keep this clean and with constructive rebuttals.

I'm okay with people expressing their disappointment with the FJC, we all can agree there are a few things that could be added to make this truck top notch. However, once the thread appears to become Chat material, it will be moved to Chat at my discretion.
