Need Longer Sun Visors
The only thing I can find wrong with my FJ is the fact that the sun visors are too short. When you turn them to the side they only cover about 1/3 of the window. It would be an easy fix if Toyota had used a little slider inside the visor to pull out when turned sideways to the window.
I've got about 300 miles on her so far and that's all I have to complain about.I do believe Toyota has made another classic!I have driven her on the highway and twisty roads and she handles great. My last company car was a BMW X5 so I have a reference. Off road she did great , even with the Bridgestone Dueller tires.I crawled up 30%-35% slopes with no wheel spin(in a-trac and then in locked rear diff.) and locked rear is just incredibley stable and sure footed. I can't say enough good things about her.Ya'll need to get one. P.S. How do I add 2007 FJ to my vehicle list?Help please! __________________ DOUBLEGUN 73FJ40 83FJ60 89FJ62 2007 FJ |

What about vision in traffic?
I keep reading here that many complain about rear and side vision for traffic. The sun visor thing will not bug me, I never use them in my '91 4Runner, even when it is bright out. Also some say the vision out the front is bad due to the non rake of the windshield? __________________ Corey '07 FJ Cruiser ARB bumper, Warn XD9000, to much to list, see my website My Forum - My Website - My Rigs Build-up - Roof Top Tent - My Penthouse - Maggiolinas In Their Natural Habitat |

It doesn't have a slidign visor?? Interesting, I would have fought they would come with especially given the windshield position. It has been on other Toyotas for quite some time. Have a look around and see what other Toyotas have the same visor as the FJC and see if they slide, you might be able to buy them and then just fit it. The 4th Gen 4R has, but I don't know if they will fit the FJC.

Vision
Vision out the front is good. The only issue is with the flat windshield it's hard to see the red part of the stop light,if you are the first one at the light.Where I normally park at the light you can see the yellow and green light area only.
The side vision is ok.There is a blind spot at the c pillar, but I believe I can get used to leaning a little forward and backward to see around it. The vision out the back is poor. The small rear window limits vision and the tire blocks a little more vision. If you put a bigger tire on the carrier it would be even worse. The side mirrors are very big and help make up for any lack of rear vision. It is what it is and I'll just get used to it. __________________ DOUBLEGUN 73FJ40 83FJ60 89FJ62 2007 FJ |

That's the biggest complaint I have, too. Not much visibilty out the side/rear. The rear quarter panel window is wrap-around glass from the outside, but it's only a little tiny port-hole from the inside. (Much like the back seat of an old Piper Cherokee.) Very decieving.
