ROTW, ROTM, ROT? for FJCruiser builds...

One thing I'd like to see the FJ Cruiser owners get going is a Rig of the Week or Rig of the Month or Rig of the ? whenever we can get another build thread to show off. I know that some have done a lot of modifications to their FJ Cruisers, some for expeditions, some for more serious off-roading, some for outdoor activities, some for, well who know but lets see them.

I'd like to get this started for the new year. So, lets see who wants to sign up to show off their modifications, pictures of where its been and open up for a little bragging rights.

I'm working on mine as we speak, lets see yours also...

I keep a build thread that is mirrored on here, YotaTech, FJ Cruiser forums.com, and a newer one over on Expo.
That latter one was not started at the same time from the beginning as the first three mentioned.

I have some pics below in my three year review thread too, but I will post some of the ones from the past year here, and a few threads to the last few mods.

A few recent mods from the past few years.
Snorkel, roof top tent, bike rack to hold new mountain bike, solar panel, ARB fridge moved from the rear to behind the drivers seat, and also the lid was rehinged to open up all the way and not hit the roof, ham install (not done with it yet)...
As you can see, my build leans more towards back country/overlanding/camping than it does hardcore 4wheeling.
It is also my only vehicle so it has to double as my daily driver too.

All of the above is in my build thread in my sig, and here is the solar panel writeup.
Solar power for camping/overlanding trips installed 6 27 2009

Corey you DD that? I know the mileage isn't great with mine. Yours must be real thirsty driving around with all that stuff bolted on!

Yes, it is my only vehicle.
I commute about 30 miles round trip 5 days a week.

I am getting around 17 MPG right now with 50/50 driving city/highway.
Lowering the tent with the new rack netted me a little over 1 MPG increase.
If I were to switch to AT tires, I would pick up about 2 MPG.

When I put on the first set of mud tires, I went right away from 21 to 19 MPG.
That was before the lift though, but it did drop by 2 with that type of tire.
