ARB front bumper gouging into fender flares

Has anyone else experienced the ARB front bumper gouging into both fender flares? This is happening to me even during tame highway driving. Any suggested fixes?

I can confirm the issue. The damage is not severe on my vehicle, but it is rubbing. I haven't devised a solution yet.

I did my install so I would check all mounting points and re-align then re-tighten all bolts. Hope this helps.

Mine too.
I think only the passenger side it doing it.
It is more like a long 6" line I think.

I do not really pay attention to it that much.
I will check sometime to see if the drivers side is that way too.

The rubbing of the bumper to the fender flares has to do with the alignment of the bumper onto the mounting bracket (to some extent). ARB recommends a certain spacing between the bumper and the FJ (can't remember the exact specs at the moment) both horizontally and vertically which one can adjust prior to drilling the locking hole and installing the locking bolt.. You probably have the bumper installed too close to the FJ and some adjustment may need to be done if you are not happy with the gouging.

to realign the bumper you would have to remove the locking bolt and loosen all the bolts from the bumper to the mounting bracket. Move the bumper up or down (using jack) or out or side to side, then redrill the locking hole and tighten all the bolts

I haven't noticed any rubbing on my install.

Here's a pict of the spacing I have on the passenger side.

The body moves more than you would think, off roading will just make it visible sooner. A quick u turn or stiff cross wind you get lots of body roll and those big rubber body spacer/mounts let the body move in relation to the frame and bumper so if your space isnt there its going to rub. I built my front bumper and left a gap that was way bigger than I liked ~ 1/2 inch and on the rubithon run it rubbed the paint off on both sides. There is more than 1 reason Toyota made the front out of lots o big rubbery plastic pieces.

If you can't adjust it or grind it to get the required spacing its gonna rub... because the toaster is got lots of body movement.
