Maximum tire size: stock/unlifted

I'm considering Centerline Wolverine wheels, 17x8, 4.5" offset, and want to put on the biggest tires possible without rub problems. Anyone had experience with this? Thanks!

285/70/17 MTR's are generally the biggest you can go without any rub issues. But it also depends on how aggressive the tread design is. Im running 285 Good Year MTRs with stock suspension and no rub under extreme compression.

Firestone Destination M/T 285-70-17 on stock rims. They rubbed on body mounts when turning near full lock. Post body mount chop no rubbing at stock height. Love these tires.
