Overhead storage, maybe a clean mount for a CB and some other storage.

okay i have someone that is willing to be the prototype.....took input from blue forum and here on a multitude of items that there is a market for with first being snorkel option that is different from ARB in material, style and how it exits fender....plus 4-5 other items that people mentioned over and over.
will share more info as project progresses....if they are able to do what all of you have envisioned and asked for. thanks for the ideas.

Minute 2:49 in TEPUI's slideshow of the DAKAR shows a pretty nifty FJC snorkle.

yeah some of the newer models have that shape to them...not sure if it is a newer Safari model or another company. I found three different snorkel styles on Land Cruisers from checking out all the team pictures.....so all of them were taking into consideration for ideas. We will have to wait and see what they come up with now. LOL

I like that it goes thru one of the fresh air vents and not thru the side of the fender. Not that I don't want to cut a hole in my fender, but I feel that this truck is wide enough as it is, I don't need another 3 inches of plastic sticking out.

This one looks interesting. Appears to be polished metal, but can't make out where it enters the engine compartment, maybe just top corner of fender. But it also has the wider fiberglass fenders, not stock. The second shot looks like no scoop at all - just a straight pipe facing backwards.

both an exit through fresh air vent and high up on fender near A-Pillar with all tubing running inside fender instead of on outside of fender is being examined....with a different setup for intake as well.
thanks for your ideas....hopefully we will see some progress in a month or so.

looks like this thread was started awhile ago..but I'm really interested in some new fender flares. Right now I'm nekked ... I really don't care how the bush whackers look either.

Me too. I pulled my flares off a while ago to take pictures and measurements. I may be taking the plunge on rear ones soon. Something to tie the rear Demello to my Metal Tech sliders seems pretty easy. The front flares are a little bit different. The AP and Demello front bumpers aren't structural enough to really support a rock bashing tube flare.

If I keep following this joker, I may need one sooner Actually, we did NOT follow him at this water crossing and this is him coming back to our side of the "crik".

still working....guy i have that is donating his FJ for prototyping has been too busy and is trying to get there this month. Sorry it is so slow...but without driving up to PA to use my own and waste 2 weeks of leave....I dont have much choice. Bad thing is had lots of volunteers that JUST BOUGHT new snorkels for a group buy in their club up in that area...LMAO
I will post as soon as it starts taking shape....thanks Rick.

This is the MetalTech tube bumper, got it just a few months ago! Really liked that it was so light weight. Wouldn't work on the front, but nice on the back! I had already sheered off most of the plastic parts by the time I got it.
