Has anyone painted their OME struts/shocks?

Yes I am new. And, yes I have already searched. But I can't seem to find anything about this exact topic.

Does any know if OME shocks/struts are painted or powder coated? Or, can you point me to this level of detailed tech. spec. for them?

Even better; has anyone painted theirs (or had them painted)? And if so, anything I need to know?

I just ordered the OME suspension kit. But I have a Black Cherry Pearl '07 FJC and honestly I just don't want my new OME struts/shocks to stick out like a sore thumb ( wouldn't be an issue if I had a yellow FJC ).

I *may* want to paint them to match the AllPro Pro Links lower control arms (which are powder coated red) that I've also ordered.

Any/all comments or suggestions welcome.

I painted mine black with rustoleum over a year ago, no problems at all.

Did you have to scuff them first?

Yes I used a green Scotch Brite pad and then wiped them down with acetone.

Just to close this out... Thanks for the tips. I painted mine black cherry to match my truck - and kinda sorta match my new AllPro lower control arms which are powder coated red and can't be (easily) repainted.

They are painted. I painted mine red over 2 years ago and they're just now showing some road wear.
