On Board Air install?
Hey guys,
I just got the new Viair 200psi OBA system and can't wait to get it installed. I was just wondering if anyone could post up some pics of where you mounted your tank, compressor, and in dash pressure gauge. Any help is greatly appreciated! This kit looks sweet! Can't wait to be able to air down at will. __________________ Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find, me unafraid. -William Earnest Henley |

Nice. My friend mounted his compressor and tank all underneath his car with brackets...since if you mount them INSIDE the cabin it's a real eye sore...

BMT,
I remember seeing that install. It is awesome! I just may do my tank (s) up top like yours. NoH-B-, I'm thinking about doing the tank underneath like your buddy, but for the compressor, it isn't a good idea unless you have a waterproof compressor. I don't know who, if anyone, makes waterproof compressors, but the Viair 480c isn't. They tell you to keep it in a safe place where it won't be exposed to wetness or grime. I actually like seeing all kinds of gear and do-dads if they are nicely installed. I like the look of the powertanks, fire extinguishers, etc... that are mounted over the rear wheel wells in the luggage area. So that is another option I'm considering. I'm more worried about if it will make a bunch of loud noise if the compressor is inside. How loud are these things when they are filling up the tank. I think it automatically kicks on if it falls below 160psi in the tank. Do the tanks slowly bleed air, or do they only loose pressure when in use? Thanks guys! __________________ Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find, me unafraid. -William Earnest Henley |

Well i dont know if these tanks are anything like conventional compressors used in a workplace but the compressors i used at the machine shop where i worked slowly leaked air so through the hoses and fittings but it wasnt too bad...again i dont know if these will do the samething though.
