UCA clearance with rubbers

I have about 1/4inch between sidewall and UCA on my OME lifted and 295x70x17 clad vehicle. I noticed some rubbing on passenger side but not drivers side.

would the aftermarket UCA like AllPro or others take care of this problem any or would I need backspacing added to my oem 17 alloy wheels?

Or both?

How much backspacing would be enough and how much is too much.... 1/2 inch?

try a rim with about 4.5 inches of backspacing. i have 4.58 and have plenty of room by uca. have 33x12.50 tire also.

I dont want to buy new rims....just wondering about spacers I can add for now. If I need new rims that is going to wait as dont have the cash to do it all.

how much is ENOUGH room between sidewall and UCA?

The smallest spacer I could find is 1" for bolt on spacer.

I am going to try th UCA from AllPro or somewhere first....see what that does. Spacer or new wheels is last resort...as putting them out wider than intended puts stress on axle and such. Used to see a lot of the little sport tuners with tires 8 inches beyond their fenders coming in after a couple of years for new parts as they were all out of whack...at shop by my house in DC. LOL

Try the Total Chaos ones, that is what I run.
Plenty of room with 285s on Pro Comp wheels.

the extra stress on axels and such is more true for spacers than rims. a 4.5 in back space is only a half in different than stock. you con get black steelies for less than the new ucas.

thanks.....I will check out the options. I will likely be replacing UCA, rear arms as well one day soon...but want to make sure I got things square up front.

thanks again for replies.
