I'm on my second '07 FJ (totalled the 1st one). They both have had an annoying squeak in the passenger rear door area. I searched the forums and don't see any mention of it. Doesn't matter if it's warm or cold.
I've tried putting a slipcoat on the rear door seal to body, but didn't work. Not sure if it's the door, trim, seat, etc. Anybody else have this? |

I just noticed the squeak, too. I think it comes from the rubber bushings on the right rear shock. When I have some free time, I'll bring the FJ to the dealership, as surely, it's an easy fix and a warantee item.

what is being done to remedy it.
it sounded to me like it was the seat sweaking on the door, or the rear plastic. is there an adjustment that can be done to silence that shit? |

I just pile more shit behind the seat to stop it.
No time to take it to the dealer. __________________ Chris Hannis, TLCA #13372 2008 FJ Cruiser, Bud Built 5, Warn Bull Bar, 9.5TI, OME Heavies all around. 1971 FJ 40, 400 SBC, th400, Dana 20 Tcase, F/R Dana 44's, Front 4 link, rear spring over 1993 4 Runner (the Girlfriends) Stock for sale. I have never heard it and I drive a lot with the radio off as it is the only time I have to myself.
![]() But I will try and listen for it. Is it the rear door with the tire on it or the rear side doors? Fatback __________________ 2007 Voodoo Blue FJ 4x4 A-Trac Hack with roof rack, black steel wheels, Dunlap factory tires, skid plate on the front, with Trail-Gear Rock Sliders.

I think Lovey is correct...the seat bracket. Passenger side rear suicide door area. I'll look closer at it this weekend. Both my FJs have been had it and very loud, so it is surely noticeable.
