I thought I had the record until I read DanGood's. 15 months and I am at 43k+ MIleage seems to be a little better but I am also trying to curb my speed a little, keeping it right at 70 on the interstate seems to help.

14 months, and only 6500 miles. at this rate it will be 2026 befor it has the milage of the 60.
I always put regular gas in it, and I never check the MPG __________________ its not rust, its rust colored paint! 84 FJ60, faded red "Pumpkin" tradesman rack..iron pig rear bumper 07 FJC "Voodoo" Blackout roof rack, Bentup front bumper "tell me, is something eluding you, Sunshine? i think i'm about to hit 300 miles. Have had it since Sunday. Rides a little smoother than my '79 fj40 - gas mileage is better too.

Put better gas in it. You'll be surprised at the difference. Saving pennies and losing gas mileage and performance doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I got my FJC April 2006 and have 63000 K on it. Runs purrfect and gets 21 - 25 mpg. Lives in very rought country, Alberta foothills takes a daily beating and outshines all the Detroit monster trucks w/ a 3" lift and some 31" BFs.

38,000 Miles in a year and 2 months
the mileage has gone down to about 14 hwy but I lifted it 2 inches, put on bigger tires and an ARB bumper. I then added a Airaid, JBA headers and a Cat Back system. nothing really improved the mileage or performance until I put the Unichip system in. Thats when it all came together. I haven't checked the mileage yet but it sure made it much quicker....

Just hit the 5000 mile mark this weekend and I have loved every inch of them! Words cannot begin to express how happy I am with my FJ. I never thought it would have this kind of power over me. I'm totally addicted. I'm getting about 16 city and 19hwy

Took delivery 03/06, cut off the IFS 06/07 with 10k miles on the ODO. Was getting around 16 mpg, but now it's more like 10 mpg average.

26K 4x4 Service on my TRDSE
I am sitting at the Toyota Store and I just had the 4x4 service done as a result of the posts currently up on this Site.
The Rear dif was terribly black and there was lot of metal shavings on the magnetic drain plug. Some were 1/2" long. I had them note it in the system for future. I love this truck, the MPG's seem to have improved. I am getting 19 to 20 most fill ups. The TRD exhaust seems to have mellowed out to a very nice tone, the BFG's are wearing nicely at 12/32nds and so far my windsheild is in tact. They did change out my armrests because the material was getting little fuz balls on them from where my grandson rests his feet on them while in his center mounted rear car seat. They just brought it around so Josh and I are off to run our errands. Enjoy your FJ!! ....and do your 4x4 service ASAP!!......gm __________________ '66 Corvair CORSA Convertible '86 Ford F150XLT '90 FJ62 (STOCK and BLUE) '94 Mustang COBRA Pace car '96 Landcruiser FZJ 80 (STOCK and GREEN) '07 FJ TRD SE (MINE) '08 Highlander LTD HYBRID (Mary Jo's ) |

Bought May '06 - 20K miles
I don't even want to know my gas mileage. I just don't try to figure it out. Is that wrong? |

Bought mine on Sept 23, 2007 and have 21K + on it... running better and better everyday... a few trips to PA and AC from NY otherwise daily driver... Love it weaving in and out of lanes during rush hour. Very intimidating on the highway to the car drivers... hehe

10k
Just rolled over 10k and owned for a year. As far as fuel mileage, if I ever start calculating it, between the lifted FJ with 33's, the lifted Rubicon with 35's, and the 500hp Mustang, I think I'll probably sell 'em all and go buy a Pruis which would likely result in bringing up to full speed (about 56 mph I think :-)) in order to drive straight into a brick wall. Don't think I'll even watch the meter...

Cool
Yeah, I'm actually not a Ford fan. I just got the Mustang because I was working at a Ford dealership at the time and I thought it was spiffy. I'm just going to hang onto it until Toyota brings out the Supra or Lexus brings out the LFA.
Congrats on the write ups though. Looks like you have a fast car there. Sorry y'all, back to the FJs and the mileage. __________________ "A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent" '07 FJ TRD SE (3" OME HD lift,33" BFG ATs,Exp One FR Bumper,Warn winch,Gobi Stealth w/ladder w/PIAAs Fr and RR,Nav w/BU cam, Bushwacker flares) 08 Rubicon http://jeepspace.jeepforum.com/BRICKTOP2 08 Lexus IS-F |

I declare this thread a MPG-less area. State your mileage only, not how many gallons of fuel it takes for you to cover that mileage.
That said, after driving a fair amount of miles on your FJ....does it still have that toyota quality build that the rest of the cruisers have had? __________________ 2000 Lexus LX470 - K&N/SLP/HIDs/Clear Corners/LEDs/Nav/Sirius/Black LC 16"s/BFG AT 285s/Blacked out trim 2005 Specialized FSR XC - CF HBar/XC Stem/Alias 143 Seat/Sidewinder Grips Oo==L==oO |

I got FJC in May 07 and have just under 8000 miles. Getting ready to add more miles in the early summer of 08. Getting started on planning a road trip from Indiana through to the west coast. Three to Four week trip, can't wait, just the wife, dog and me!
