Bushwacker Fender Flares for FJ Cruiser

Bushwacker is almost done with their pocket style fenders for the FJ Cruiser. From what I hear they are going to look terrific. I will post pics of the first rig they put them on in a few weeks when they bring it over.

Cool, looking forward to seeing what they look like.
I ran them on my '91 4Runner.

These would have to look very good though, as I like the factory ones, although they would look better if a little wider.

For factory they are pretty thick and durable too.

I hear ya. The factory ones are very decent. If Bushwacker tries to extend them too far I think they'll get really weak. Not enough to grab hold of where they mount. Hopefully they'll just add a little on and keep them looking good.

I am sure the BWers will be wide, and look great. I have seen what they have done before, and was envisioning what they might do for the FJ. I am sure I'll probably put some coin towards a set of 4 of those.

Went to the web sight and their product does look real nice but for what they want for them they should include the fenders with it.

pics in a couple weeks

I went wheeling with Jeff from Bushwacker this weekend and his FJ is almost ready for SEMA. They are still working out a couple final specs on the fenders but will be done in about a week. I should have pics then. It is a Voodoo Blue and he's painting the fenders to match. He's got a 6" lift and 35s on it.

nice

Looks like they did a great job. Kinda hard to see the rear ones, but it won't be long. He told me he was going to paint them but maybe this was an early pic.

Those are killer. Definitely a MUST have

I have a question though. Will the Passenger side flare interfere with the Safari Snorkel???????????

I'm thinkin if those bushwhackers go up as high as they look, an area might have to be cut out for the safari snorkel to 'mesh' with the flare on the passenger side......

Bet they didn't think about a snorkel being in the way when they were busy designing them eh?

Maybe they can make two types..... one type for use WITH a snorkel, and another version for use WITHOUT a snorkel.

The guy over on the blue site will have "real" pics up today sometime.
He has already mentioned too that they are running 35" tires on the FJ, and these flares do increase not decrease wheel well space as some had thought over there.

I am not into the fake rivet thing for the flares though.
I like them on fake beadlocks, but I like flares without them.

I would have liked to have seen just a wider version of what we have now on the FJs.

Yeh I was woundering the same thing. I have a standing order in on the Safari Snorkel. I was hoping when Bushwacker came out with an extended flare it was going to be more smooth without like what is already on the FJ, just a little wider. If it does interfere with the snorkel, I'll just have to cut out the flare where the snorkel is along side the fender.

Check out the thread "Portland Area FJ Cruiser Owners." You'll never find another deal like this on these fender flares.

Holy Hell, I thought we had tuperware on the vehicle because it was "cheap" to replace! Do they sell them individually in case one gets crumpled??

They are a little pricey....I had the cut-out fender wall type on my 85 Toy, I want to say they were half the price of what they are quoting for an FJ. :(

Ugly

I'm not diggin these at all. Even if you could run these with the safari snorkel, it would look even worse. The snorkel looks sweet with the factory fender flares. Way overpriced too.
